Vegetables in America are hated as much as communism, so whats your favorite?

My #1 fav. is Chinese Bak Choy... This stuff is great just steamed w/soy sauce
#2 Broccoli
#3 Spinach

I enjoy most veggies that are green and crisp, but I loathe tomatoes.

I hate, hate, hate almost all vegetables. The few I do like are: cabbage (but only in kimchi), raw cherry tomatoes, guylon (sorry, I know that's not the right spelling), and edemame. Does seaweed count?

Almost all veggies I've eaten, besides really dark green and bitter ones like spinach and other greens.

Duck! =P

Actually, It's a tie between spinach and brocolli. I'd put mushrooms in too, but 'shrooms are a fungus rather a vegetable. I'd put tomatoes too, but they are considered fruits. I'd put potatoes too, but they are considered starches.

i was told the same thing .. that's there something "toxic" in spinach ... lemme do some quick research to corroborate that

EDIT: http://www.cloudnet.com/~djeans/Asides/OxalicAcid.htm
Apparently, there's some side effects from the unhealthy susbstance in spinach (and rhubards) - oxalates.

The only ways I eat spinach is so overcooked that the taste is gone or if it is raw and hidden in a salad amongst less bitter things. Otherwise I think the taste is too strong.

hmm...no. i *think* you're referring to the sprouts. (dow miu). could be wrong though.
going to my thing about potato = god, think about it. it's like bubba from forest gump:
you can fry them, steam them, boil them, bake them, crisp them, in salads, in soups, in breads (potato flour bread), mash them, deep fry, stir fry, cube them, latkes, tempura them...the list goes on. mmm, tubers...glah...

I am reminded of a Frank Zappa song, "Call Any Vegetable".
