I know some girls that have a clothing/accessory fetish and I've overheard girls in a Starbucks talk about their fetish. Like girls that think scarves on guys are totally hot. Or girls that think any guy in a suit looks sexy. I wear glasses, and I had one girl totally into me because she thought my glasses were cool. And her friends said that she had a history of liking guys with glasses.
Overall, does a guy's style matter at all?

I have a friend who loves guys who dress in "preppy" clothes.
An attraction and preference, due to a person's clothing style, is a sure sign of immaturity. This is from both my personal experience as well as actual psychological studies.

i have a dimple fetish...but i guess that doesn't count.
i don't really have a clothing fetish. i either like him and thus like what he wears...or if i'm not feeling it, what he wears does not really matter.

Because. Because. I don't know why and wondered the exact same thing.
I don't mind if my wife buys herself a lot of clothes. She gets rid of the old stuff, so it's not like she's pack-ratting it.

I think I prefer guys to just look clean, reasonably in style, and somewhat conservative (I have no interest in seeing your navel, nor petting your shiny shirt). No all black clothes held together with safety pins, please.

Yeah, see... that's what I'm talking about. So any guy in a Hugo Boss suit would get your attention, right? I think more girls have these fetishes than guys, because there is one rule with women's style that they usually follow: less is more.

not any guy. if you had a face of a chicken fryer at kfc,
a hugo boss suit still won't help you.
less is more? i guess that holds true if you're in to skanks
with lipliner that's ten times darker than there lipsticks.
please. rouge noir is so 1990's.

i <3 you.
i like boys that look good in nice leather jackets too.
the non shiny ones. patent leather is for shoes, not cloths.
i realllllly like bermuda shorts on super tall boys with nice
legs. not too hairy, not too pansy. too. i don't know why.
i don't like men that aren't professional athletes in spandex.

I dunno,
I like to wear some ice on my fingers, preferrably with some platinum rings with diamonds on them. Gold doesn't seem to impress the ladies like they used to. Like when I wear 10 or more rings on my fingers, 1 or more on EACH FINGER, girls go crazy.
Some platinum teeth may prove to be conducive as well.

OMG!!! I have a guys in V neck sweaters fetish too! I've actually thought to myself sometimes that you could put any guy in a blue (except electric) V neck sweater and khakis (or straight leg jeans) and he would be hot.... okay maybe that's stretching it but it would increase his attractiveness. Just like fake tan making someone look healthier (though if they're very flabby to begin with).....

The secret to the v-neck's sexiness is the v-neck itself.
It shows off part of the collarbone and a bit of chest. Also the shape of the v-neck is aesthetically different and pleasing. It says something more than a round neck.
Whether you're wearing a t-shirt or sweater, a guy in moderate shape can NEVER go wrong with wearing v-necks. Aside from the occasional graphical round necked t-shirt, that is ALL I wear.

I got hair on my chest and gurrls love it...
...of course, I'm not a GORILLA up top or anything...
Now, hair on the BACK...that would turn me off a lot more than chest hair!

Overall, does a guy's style matter at all?
i think it kinda does...
i'm more or less a jeans and tshirt kinda person...
and i think i would prefer a guy who perhaps had the same style as myself... i mean, a guy who wore suits all the time... i dont think i could deal with such a thing... the thoughts of having to dress up all the time whenever i went out with him sounds like such a turn off for me... of course... i guess i wouldnt mind having to deal with his souped up outfits... if i didnt have to change when it comes to my own style...

i have no idea! ^_^ i tend to like people who dress similarly to myself. i have a very "laid-in" look. t-shirts, jeans. overly geeky t-shirts too. i have one with a comet on it, and another with a robot and another of star wars. so i prefer boys who dress the same way as i do.

Men are guilty of having clothing accesory fetishes too. I know guys who collect hats, belts, cowboy boots, leather jackets, stuff like that. Women are addicted to retail like men are addicted to sports. Choose your poison.

What makes you say that?
And Kuchana it's weird that you say that cause I see a lot of dudes who try to act hard and stuff so they won't smile. Guess they think it makes them look more hardcore and manly.

Gosh you know how much I despise that hard attitude? Why can't people just be people without trying to pretend to be something that they aren't?
A true smile is genuine I feel. Thus the basis of its appeal:) Which is why I always tell guys they'd look better if they smile because 9 times out of 10 they're trying to look hard.

Because then you girls will say we're too soft
No seriously though I've learned that actually you're right. I did that once with one girl. Whenever she saw me, she'd come up and speak to me and usually smile and I'd always smile back, but after a while I covered up my smile by putting my hand over my mouth and just casually "wiping" it off of my face. She asked me one day how come I always did that, and I didn't really have an answer. After that, I stopped doing it and well..............everything's cool now.

because these fetish connects with pre-existencing ideas of sexiness in certain minds.

True dat.
Cause I know that I've been attracted to girls who wore certain clothes, or had a certain style of dress............"I like your style", what's wrong with that.
