Lunar New Year parties?

Anyone know of anything happening in the NYC area to celebrate the lunar new year?
If there's something that caters to (or is at least friendly to) the 30-something crowd, that would be great, because some friends asked me.

Actually, if you're not in NYC, just let us know anyways about what good stuff goes on in your area.

It looks like all the young professionals' clubs in the DC metro area are having this huge Lunar Year's party in VA.

Was debating about going but probably won't.

I'm gonna be in the parade in SF on Feb 7. My friend's birthday, not Chinese, is on Chinese New Year this year so gonna celebrate that with Chinese hard liquor. Gonna really celebrate with family when I go home at the end of the month.

check clubzen.com..but its mostly 21+ crowds..if u like that sorta thing..i'd go to Chinatown and watch the Liondance =D too bad firecrackers are banded

sounds fun. i'd always associated Chinese New Year celebration as being a family thing. I'd never thought of celebrating with friends, even though most are Chinese, too (the most we do is say "hey, happy chinese new year, geek!).
