first thought: heyo everyone, just someone else who stumbled in. from norcal (Castro Valley --> largest unincorporated area in norcal --> a large middle of nowhere).

second thought: ohmygod i got my first college letter back...and i got into caltech! woohoo! :biggrin:

third thought: i am actually *not* a nerd/geek/techie/person who lives on caffience, believe it or not :tongue:

Oh, I dunno about it having a huge nightlife or anything. Just personally, I like that it's a lot more chill at night. (during the day, it's always so crowded and full of shoppers.) They've got a ton of restaurants, a huge movie theatre, cafes (a great one is called The Equator, I think, and they sometimes have live music), at least one club (The Muse). The Equator was a cool place, I hung out there the most, when I visited one of my friends. But, to clarify, nah, I wouldn't say it's a big nightspot. :)
