Hello from Missouri. aka Misery. I'm military so I'm not originally from here. I'm from the Bronx NY and Milton FL Once I go back home to Florida I won't be on the internet anymore because I'll be chilling with family and friends again. But while I'm here, thanks for having me, thanks to Teaz0r for showing me this site. I'm also on yahoo everyonce in while http://profiles.yahoo.com/pimp_the_system if you want to hit me up. My nationality is trini so if there's any more carribean peeps in here, holla. Rep yo island. I know a lot about asians through my filipino relatives, best friend, associates, and ex-girlfriends, so don't expect me to post a lot of ignorant statements about another culture. If I do, it's in jest. I'm not that guy who has, 'Yellow Fever' and is totally addicted to asian culture. So far my favorite girls are Hawaiian until proven otherwise :)

LOL I have no idea where that's from. My grandma was from Barbados and I heard that blew up. North America is the biggest, most-profitable land mass so why not? Unless you want to go grow crack plants in South America LOL

Do you know which part of Barbados she was from? No. My dad was born in Trini, I was born in Florida but raised in the Bronx. It's too late right now, but I'll call my great aunt and ask which part of Barbados they were from. What's a Bajan-Trini? What's your nationality? I know a trini girl who was actually born on trinidad, I'll ask her next time I see her if she knows what one is.

A “Bajan” is a Barbadian.
I thought you were Trinidad-born with Bajan roots. . .a Bajan-Trini. I don’t know many West Indians who say the word “Barbadian” a whole lot. I guess a habit I’ve absorbed.
I’m Vincentian-American. I was born up here.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a country not too far from Trinidad and Tobago. Although Trinis as a whole tend to sing more when they speak than many Vincies, we actually share a bit of the vernacular, although without some of the Indian words and our true patios (spoken mainly in the country-side) is very French. This similarity and differences may be due to our close proximity, but different history.
Part of the country is actually the upper Grenadines, while Grenada has the other part. If you have a mental map and know where Grenada is, just picture a little higher and your probably picturing St. Vincent.
Usually when I tell Trinis what I am, they don’t know unless they have Vincy roots (which isn’t so uncommon), have worked in the country and/or have met Vincies working in T&T, or know of the stories about Vincentians running to their country during the past two volcano eruptions.
Otherwise, we are often the forgotten country in that area. We haven’t been the economic power house other countries in the W.I. have been in the past, so we haven’t made a name there, and the country is so small I seen maps that make no mention of it.
Ironic enough, I’ve met several non-West Indians who know where it is. Mainly because of Mustique and the yachting areas of the country.
Don’t bother asking your great-aunt. I’m not Bajan.
I was just curious as to whether she may have been from the same place as some Bajans who have been married into my family--Mainly northerners.
You don’t keep in touch with down there?

Hey what's happening! Thanks for the shout out. You people here are all very friendly compared to the other forums I visit. That's cool. I try to follow the Golden Rule as much as I can, but I still fall into that 'treat people how people treat you' pattern whether I like it or not. So far everyone has been very kind to me. Thanks a lot.
That nail in the coffin was hot, I don't remember if it was the first or second diss tho, all I know is that the second diss was fukkin hilarious. I was rollin! I like both benzino and eminem, I don't discriminate. I think these battles are good for rap, because that's how it was in the beginning. Hopefully no one will kill each other.

I bought and enjoyed Blood in My Eye. That shit is gangsta!I might cop Venni Vetti Vicci 2 when it drops early next year. It's a double CD and Ja is gonna go back to his R & B formula because he didn't on Blood in My Eye. I've always liked Ja Rule, plus he killed dmx, eminem, and fitty cent on his latest album so at least we know he cares about what people think about his sing-song rap. Blood in My Eye was hardcore gangsta rap at it's best. I'm loving it. It's a fucking classic. I didn't buy that new g-unit album because too many white people are dick-riding that nigga. They're dick-riding outkast also, but outkast will always be tight no matter what.

You don’t keep in touch with down there?Never been there and sort of don't care anymore either. The only island I want to visit now is Oahu. I went there to visit my dad cause his wife is in the military and was stationed in Pearl Harbor. Thoughts of trinidad went out the window when I visited Hawaii. I want to go back again. I've decided to hold off on visiting Trinidad and Tobago until I get a little bit older. The things I'm doing in the near future are gonna keep me very busy and I'll have to regulate all my trips to business-related shit only :( I have to visit France, Rome, and Japan next year. I told my sister I'll take her with me when I visit Trinidad, and I don't intend to break that promise. Thanks for telling me about St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I don't know much about that place and I'm going to look it up pretty soon. It sounds interesting. My mom told me my grand-ma and father were supposed to teach me shit but they didn't care. I care enough to find stuff out, but not enough to dedicate my life to diggin in my roots.
