It's not even that, is it? I thought the more recent rep on the place is that it's for trashy, would-be Eurokids.

Spend some time over there and I think you'll think differently.
The euros do know how to party.

If you like seeing and hearing the big (and presumably best) DJ's, this is the best place to do so, with the most opportunities during any given week during the summer.
Here are the lineups for the clubs for August (which is the peak time there): http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/club_dates_august_i.htm

Ibiza - pronounce as "i-bee-fa". That place is pretty much the club captial for the world. So many clubs and big DJs, how can you not like that if you're into clubbing.

Damn, right the euros know how to party. Still yet to go to ibiza but England is still holding a firm reputation for their club nights. Ministry of Sound, Renaissance, Gatecrasher, Slinky, so many but to name a few.

Besides Ibiza there is also another club island called Aiya Napa, where it is nothing but garage music.

didn't they make gatecrasher a different club? like crasher, or gatecrasher 1 or something? like renovated and then reopened under another name. for some reason i'm thinking it might also be called air?

Far from what I know, it had always been called that. Gatecrasher is actually a name of a club night event, not a name of a club.
