Just curious to see what your thoughts are. I offered up Jamison for Dampier in the other fantasy league 'cuz I'm in need of boards, big time, and Antawn so far really hasn't done anything.

antawn is a gamble. he hasn been getting enough minutes so he's not even really dampier's equal except for scoring. and there's too many scoring options on that team anyway, with any one of them is liable to blow up at any point in the game.

given the two, i'd have to go with jamison due to history. i dunno what's up with foyle? the deal seems fair just going by the numbers this season

Well, if you need boards, then Damps is obviously your man.
Overall, Damps will probably outscore Jamison over the season, given that Damps will hopefully average double-double and throw in some blocks as well. Jamison, however, pretty much only scores. And in that Dallas lineup, we know he's a tertiary scoring option, at best.
Then again, Damp is always Super Damp at the beginning of the season, getting us Warriors fans super-excited. Then he tapers off and quiets down to his perennial lethargic output.
Tough call. Definitely a good move for the short term.
When Foyle and Murphy return (not for a while it seems), Dampier might shrink again. But "might" is an if. He's healthy, but that could change. But "could" is an if. He is, however, in a contract year, which means it's possible he'll turn it up a bit. But "possible" is an if.
Jamison is the safe choice.
Dampier is a potential poor man's Ben Wallace.

Last month:
Dampier - 12.8 ppg, 13.8 boards, 1.7 blocks
Jamison - 13.4 ppg, 6.5 boards

yeah, i love jamison and the mavs, but they just have too many scorers this year. the only people that really benefit fantasy-wise are the point guards (nash, delk, and maybe best) in the assist category.
dampier has been a godsend on my team right now since it seems that there's a lack of depth in the center position in the nba right now. without the kandi-man and kwame brown as a large presence, it's been slim pickings in the center department for me. guard/fowards like jamison have been a dime a dozen.

yes, dampier has been consistent in his production. i'd rather have him than jamison if they continue on this road...

yeah, has a plantar fascia tear in right foot, and i haven't been able to find out when he's coming back. been keeping him in my injured reserve spot hoping it'll be soon.

jamison broke out last game. but, then again it was against denver. but, then again denver ain't doing that bad.
Looks like Damps hit the wall. Double-double? Can't get double-digit minutes. Same stunt as last year. Time to get rid of him before Murphy and Foyle comes back and he turns into the true scrub he is.

yea, what's his problem. why can't he play consistent .... wonder what i could get for him
If people aren't on the uptake... and think it's just a 1-game thing... you could make out pretty well. I'd try to package him with someone else to get a good center... maybe Z, Curry, or Magloire.

gag. i had magloire in the beginning. dumped him early on cuz i had 6 centers.
Z = Ilguaskas?

Z, si.
Dumbest move I made so far: dropped Crawford to WW for Flip at the beginning of the season.
