Diablo LOD new patch is out.

If anyone out there plays Diablo Lord of Destruction, the people at Blizzard just released a new patch. It's now up to 1.10 and although it's still a fun and great game, they've made it so much harder, I find myself getting frustrated and quiting a lot sooner then I normally would.

Which character do you play? I'm usually the necromancer and it's always been kind of hard to play. The naked demon dominatrix first level boss monster bitch was practically impossible for me to kill.

necros aren't as popular as they used to be

i had a lvl 86 assassin. it's extra impossible fighting against monsters w/ physical immunity

I'm a real fan of the paladin. The new patch makes this game alot harder, so much so that it's almost not fun.

im not big on diablo, i never could get into it, to me (and this is my humble opinion) diablo is to baldurs gate what masturbation is to sex

Agreed, I dispise the patch as well.

My zon lost her windforce during the upgrade... I'm still fuming about that. I have her using a ballista now. Before the patch, she used to be able to kill hell cows in two shots in a full party game... now she has to hit one cow 20 times before it dies.

I also had a barb who had a pretty decent CCS (276 ED) I was planning on socketing that with 40 ED jewels but not with the new patch. Socketing it would be useless since my barb would still suck...

I was also dissapointed that they didn't upgrade the Necro. I wrote an email to blizzard requesting that they 1) Boost up corpse explosion damage. 2) Increase the AI on revives so they don't get lost when you run too fast 3) increase Iron Maiden return damage.

The new patch is making me want to quit Diablo.

BG you play by yourself mostly, whereas diablo you play online.

Diablo also tends to be more frenetic, hectic, and action-packed. Whereas BG is kind of just slow and plodding. Depends on how you look at it

I'm sorry about your Zon, was the windforce hacked? They sent out a Rust Storm to eliminate all hacks, I know a lot of people got hit during that. I'm also disappointed that the Necro is still so weak. He could be so kick ass if they'd amp him up a bit. As he is now he's useless in hell, and kind of boring since you have to rely on his minions and golem to do all the work, since your stuff is too weak.

I like what they did to the Pally though, I have a level 59 shockadin that kicks the crap out of my friends 87 Zon.
