Me go first:

Balut/balot is a delicacy from the Philippines. It's a soft-boiled duck egg. But. There's a partially-incubated duckling in it. I shouldn't really say delicacy since it's fairly common.

I have eaten them. Not particularly a fan of eating them regularly.

When I'm out for dim-sum.

Cook and eat at home. Going out is too much of a pain. (Especially without a car --- see question 5).

4. Speak to your parents in your ethnic language at home?
No can do, my parents only speak English. I talked to my grandparents and uncle in Hakka or Malay, though.

Had a honda, lent it to mom, mom totalled it. Haven't really felt like spending good cash on a car since then.

Malaysian or Thai. I prefer spicy foods, at least when I'm not out.

Graduated in May. Once was Applied Math, then got kicked out of it, switched to CS, with a minor in linguistics.

Oakland, CA. Spent a some time in Malaysia as a kid though.

1. Never tried one. Never seen one, for that matter. I'd probably try them. But I'd feel odd seeing the duckling part...
2. No. Tried them once at Dim Sum and didn't like them.
3. Out but because I usually eat out for my lunch hour. For dinner, sometimes I eat home more and sometimes I eat out.
4. Nope. Though, wish my mom would have spoken spanish to me (which is her second language and the language of the country she was born in). Never had an interest in learning Cantonese (which was her first language). I speak English at home which would technically be my dad's ethnic language. :P
5. I don't currently but I do like them. Right now I drive a piece of crap.
6. Pretty much equal, though I eat more american than chinese. However, I eat a lot of food from other ethnicities. I like food in general. :lol:
