Well proffessor I am not japanese american. I am a japanese immigrant. I have been to nagasaki once before. It is was quite an expirience for me. The reason I assumed many did not care was because alot of asians seem anti japanese. Which is understandable.

a lot of Asian people from the older generations are resentful for what the Japanese military did in WW2, and some of them still hate Japanese people to this day. but i think this is not true of younger generations. even in my parents' generation (i'm 26), there isn't nearly as much anti-Japanese sentiments. people think that what the Japanese military did in WW2 was terrible, but most young people are also resigned to the fact that war makes people do crazy things. and even my grandmother takes this view. my grandparents saw people around them in their village starve to death because of Japanese occupation, but my grandmother's general attitude is just that war is a sad and terrible thing. my grandfather used to hate Japanese people, but in his old age, he has mellowed out quite a bit about it and i would say that he no longer hates them.
