KTVB 7 (http://www.ktvb.com/), the NBC affiliate in Boise, Idaho, does not air episodes of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" (they preempt with repeats of "$10k Pyramid" hosted by Donny Osmond). The show features a group of gay men called the "Fab Five," who assist a straight man in manners, style, cooking, and decor.

This Letters to the Editor (http://www.idahostatesman.com/Opinion/letters/story.asp?ID=45601&S=137) page shows a cross-section of the viewers' reactions.

Most puzzling statement: "I would not have watched the program anyway, but the content sure seemed to be something not for prime time."

That statement might have something to do with that fact that it feels like a TLC or Bravo show. Kinda reminds me of What Not to Wear (US version on TLC, British version on BBCamerica) for the style change or Faking It (BBCamerica) for the whole culture, cooking, style change.

So, they show Will & Grace, but not Queer Eye for the Straight Guy?

That's queer. :frown:
