Just wondering if there are any queer identified Asian women here at these boards. And just saying 'howdy'.

Well, it's good to know that there are women who are bi and/or queer identified. Did anyone participate in any of the Dyke Marches in June? If so, how was the Asian turnout? In NYC, it was pretty good. They got about 8,000 participants with a substantial contingent of Asian American groups.

Has anyone here dated women? If so, have you outed yourself to your family? Did they/would they accept it? My mom has been unbelievably accepting. She told me once that "it's time to find a boyfriend or girlfriend (since you're in your 20s now)". This was after I had been dating for years and not telling her :)

When I came out to my family....it was very strange for me. I thought for sure my parents were going to be more than just disappointed in me, and find me a disgrace to the family. But my parents still love me, and treat me as part of the family. It is still hard at times....cause my mom is very old fashioned, and she believes that all girls should look like girls, and all boys should look like boys. See, I am not only a lesbian, but a butch one at that....and I have short spikey hair....just like a boy (as some would say). I think my mom is most uncomfortable with that......more than the fact that I am a lesbian. In fact, I think that if I was to be more feminine in the sense of my appearance, not so much attitude.....that I may be completely accepted by her, and not just half way. <_<

Wow, I never meet an asian bi before, hummm maybe I just can't tell.

I'm just wondering is there still a need to become mothers if your bi? And do you all prefer asian females or other females?

I don't thinks there's a rule for if all asian bi women want to become mothers or not. Depends on the individual.

hmm... i think that's a difficult question to answer because it's such a personal and subjective decision of wanting kids or not.. and there's no correlation to being bi, lesbian or straight.

as for the second question, once again, it's difficult to formulate a general answer. it would be like asking an asian straight girl if she likes asian men more or non-asian men more... it is another subjective and personal choice.

Ok, do bi asians tend to date other bi asians?
