in boston we have dragon boat in june every year. but this years is cancelled

pretty cool... wish i could go.

actually, i wish i could paddle for the festival. but i've taken some time off of dragon boating.

please let us know how it goes... i don't think i've heard of a dragon boat festival being held in NY. so i hope it goes well.

the festival's been in flushing meadows for quite some time now. A couple of years ago, my shi fu from the Shaolin Temple Overseas Headquarters and some of his students performed there. It was really good, better than the dragon boat races I thought :o. Yeah, but I haven't been to one for a couple of years now so I'll report back how it goes.

have fun... dragon boating is huge here in toronto. HUGE!!! we have an annual dragon boat festival race on centre island. 200 plus teams for the last two years.

plus, we've got 300 teams just in my province.

btw, have you heard of the MAD NY crew? i raced w/ them 2 years in a row at the montreal race. and they raced for our team two years in a row at our end of the season ontario race (charity race for breast cancer).

sure looks like a scenic event....!! we got the brixton carnival here in london but that is a copy to the rio stlye events...nonetheless an enjoyable event.!!

They even have an annual race down here in Miami every November. Then again like everything else they got the date wrong!
