I figure there's a lot of younger folk out of school and looking for summer work here in the Bay Area, so I thought I'd mention that my little brother's girlfriend, who's an assistant manager for Camper, mentioned that they're looking for part-time salespeople. She said that retail experience is a big plus, but that the number one thing they're looking for is the right attitude for providing a customer-service-oriented experience. She specifically noted that they're filtering out ditzes.
Anyway, there you go.

You're a good man. Retail is a great part time job -- when compared to fastfood.
I worked at a Ross for many summers.

Retail also helps develop good customer service skills and forces you to have patience. :)

There's that lawsuit against Gap and other retailers because they pressured their employees to purchase their clothes so they could wear them on the sales floor. Although there's a discount, you don't want to be forced to spend money to buy the clothing anyway.
