Downtime

Sorry for the extended downtime today folks. Ever since our host upgraded to the most recent version of MySQL, our forums database gets corrupted...!

Am working on a temporary solution now...

If they provide the board software... shouldn't they have done some regression testing first? I'd be asking for some proration on the bill.

Testing is a little tricky for this bug, I think. I haven't heard from anyone about being able to duplicate what causes the table to lock...

The good news is that it just takes a simple optimization of the tables to prevent it from happening (I think) so I've set up a script to do that every 30 minutes.
