NonChinese NonKorean Asian women

Since many people here apparently seem to think that Asians don't date or have relationship issues besides Chinese or Koreans, and since we've already established the fact that all Koreans are squinty-eyed kimchi smelling overdramatic frauds while all Chinese are dirty money-grubbing nerdy shrewds, I'd like to see what others think about other groups of Asian women (or men too, even though this is in the men's forum but hey who cares).

And here is what I've experienced and think:

Japanese FOB women - stereotyped as being submissive, short and stubby legs, bad teeth, talking like chipmunks with a mouthful of helium. Personally although some of this may be true, I pretty much remain indifferent. The ones I've met are usually tough to communicate with because they seem incompatible with free thought and they have more of a drone or robot personality than any other group.

Japanese American women - stereotyped as the ultimate whitewashed Asian girl. Never noticed this that much though.

Vietnamese women - don't know any, don't know any stereotypes either, whether they are Vietnamese American or FOB Viet

Filipino American women - don't know any stereotypes, but they usually have better bodies than East Asian women but I like East Asian facial structure as well as skin tones. I like Asian women that are pale (but not pale women of any other race). Usually enjoyable to hang out with because they are enthusiastic and gung-ho, much like Korean women, minus the drama

Thai women - don't know any currently, but from what i noticed, they also have better bodies than East Asian women even though they are stereotyped as slutty. Never hung out with a Thai girl except I got slapped by a Thai-American girl in 6th grade so that probably doesn't count.

Indonesian women - don't know any, FOB or American

Malaysian women - ditto

I guess I could stereotype the men too but it'd be a bit more difficult, the only Asian men (Asian-American or FOB) I hang out with on the whole are Korean and Chinese. How ironic.

All this aside, what do people think about inter-ethnic dating between these groups? FOB or American-raised, it doesn't matter. Do these women live up to their stereotypes? haha You can take this thread seriously or not, aint no thang.

vietnamese guys: two types--(1) ghetto ass fight-loving. will grab girls randomly at clubs w/impunity. generally travels in packs of 10 or more. (2) the americanized vietnamese guy--fun, open-minded though a bit traditional about male/female roles. generally tries to disassociate himself from type (1). neither (1) nor (2) is cheap. and both (1) and (2) are very family-oriented with strong family values.

vietnamese girls: not much interaction so can't say. have seen the equivalent of type (1) vietnamese guy (see above)...can frequently be found picking fights with other girls. generally nice, thin bodies w/big racks. the pretty ones are REALLY REALLY pretty with out of this world body-types.

filipino guys: not much interaction but from the few i've met....really cool & friendly. same goes for the girls who are that PLUS generally pretty damn hot.

however, I didn't put anything down regarding Viet women because technically having tight bodies is not a Vietnamese stereotype and I don't know any Viet women personally :frown: Not to mention the complete absence of Viet (or Filipino for that matter) women on YW

I would also venture to say that Vietnamese and Korean communities also seem to place the most value or importance on looks and outward appearance. Almost all the beauty salons in the Seattle area (the ones that are actually any good) are owned by either Viets or Koreans. On the other hand, Chinese kids are taught to grow up to be nerdy doctors and computer programmers (as opposed to...say...pop stars) :lol: Sorry that was a cheap shot. But it's all about upbringing I guess.

Viet Girls - they can be cute, sweet and really hot.. but i swear they are drama-queens. tendency to talk shit about their best friends a little shit-talking circle if you will but in the end still hang out with each other. Oh yeah viet girls are hella stubborn and have tempers... personal experience.

Flip Girls - Not too much experience with flip girls but they tend to always be in mixed groups... gossiping is a inherited trait most of the time. They are usually generally outgoing, good dancers, nice body, however there are money-hungry/greed tendencies which alot flips seem to have and they tend to date outside their race more often than not.

For what I know women like 3 things in a man which is tall, dark and handsome, but they forgot to add rich too and I think it should be more like rich, tall, dark and handsome (notice the order of priority). Any men that have these quality regardless of their race will be a babe magnet. Unfortunately many Asian don’t exactly fit into that “tall, dark and handsome” and furthermore most of chinese nerdy type are really cheap as hell, its like they want to save every single cent ! Well, hopefully that will change soon with more pretty “tall, dark and handsome” chinese boy and hopefully not cheap too. Any girl care to disagree that is provided you date asian.

Well, that depends on the girl. But after many years of ahem... scientific observation I have come to the following conclusion (not limited to and does not include exception)

1. Short girls like very tall man. Short man doesn’t stand a chance here. (no pun intended)

For example 5’9 is considered relatively tall in Asian nation but by western standard it’s only considered average.

Sadly white people are taller due to their diet and maybe even their gene. They sure are a lot of Asian girls falling to white man arm presumably due to their stature How frighteningly true!

So go out them and prove to those Asian women that short does not mean inferior or all we Asian man can marry a tall partner to produce a tall offspring :)

Also fear not my fellow Asian man; Asian is growing taller everywhere due to better nutrition and healthcare. Some lucky Asian are naturally tall (By gene) like Northern Chinese and many Indian.

Lessee...

Japanese girls - I went out with two before. They were pretty different as one was wierd yet feminine and the other was tomboyish. Neither one of them were high-maintenance nor overmaterialistic. One was slender with pale, soft skin (mmm...) while the tomboy one works out and was more tanned. In terms of communication, it wasn't really hard to communicate since they both knew English pretty well. My encounter with Japanese girls in general has been pretty positive. I have two who are friends at Foothill College. They're pretty chillin and fun to hang out with. They'll be transferring to UCLA soon. Hehe, one of them owes me a drink. :P

Japanese guys - Not too much experience. But so far the ones I've hung out with are pretty cool. One of them, Shu is half Japanese and half Moroccan. He was the nicest out of all of them. Looked liked a rock star of sorts. Another one I've met is doing films and ish. Kinda wierd and eccentric. But then I'm the same way so we get along pretty well.

Viet girls - I met a few of them. Never really gotten to know any of them really well tho. But the one I danced with at this one party had the tightest body.

Viet guys - I've noticed they go in packs like wolves while I was living in SJ. Totally different than the ones I've met in DVC. The ones in DVC were friendly and chillin. The ones in SJ just straight mug yer ass.

Filipino girls - Sweet jeebuz I've dated too many. :P Out of all the girls I've encountered they tend to have the hottest bodies, the most enjoyable personalities, and yet can hit the most extremes at one time. A lot of them tend to carry a lotta drama baggage. They're also the most sensitive which could be a good thing or bad thing. Good cause they'll give you tons of attention. Bad cause they could give too much or consider you cold since they demand a ton of attention as well. But you are rarely bored with them. One of my Chinese friends kept calling me up about how to handle his Filipino girlfriend at the time. It was pretty hilarious to hear him talk about his stories and drama that he had with her. I always hit him back with "I told you so." :lol:

Filipino guys - I've met a few good ones here and there (mostly my cousins, friends from church, or my sister's bf). But Filipino guys tend to shun me cause they consider me too white-washed or not "pinoy" enough to hang out with them. A lot I met at college tend to be 'players' or act like they got game and ish. Or they get on my case for not buying wooden bead necklaces or not sporting a 'Lapu-Lapu' t-shirt. A whole Filipino club got pissed off at me cause I decided to leave them to become President of the Asian club on campus. It gotten to the point in which I could careless about being mistaken for any other race other than Filipino. <_< But luckily the ones that I've become good friends with tend to be quite the opposite of the ones I've encountered in college. These guys are loyal, true, romantic, and damn good singers at choir. They are emotional but will treat a girl like a goddess. They tend to be very good friends and are always there when needed.

I find there's a lot of variation amongst Filipino guys (not that I'm saying there isn't great variation in other groups), but I wouldn't say you could pin down a Filipino guy stereotype. It ranges from the most Whitest of white washes, to the Pinoy Pride guy wearing wooden beads, to the gangsta thug types.

I rarely feel the need to compete, although perhaps sometimes I compare myself to society as a whole but not to men in general. I have envied other people though, wishing I had what they had oir whatever before, but that is not the same as jealousy because jealousy means actually wishing some type of harm or feeling dislike for the actual person. i think you're being a bit too harsh here when you say "doesn't stand a chance at all".<BR><BR>i'm only 5'6" and i can tell you that this is definitely not the case.&nbsp; height is not a deal breaker.&nbsp; i've dated girls shorter than me, my height, and taller than me - although not too much taller.&nbsp; the tallest girl i've dated was 5'8".

hahhah<BR><BR>i've never dated filipino girls before (but have certainly been attracted to many!).&nbsp; my filipino friend and i were comparing asian girls once and i was saying how some are very high maintenance.&nbsp; he said that filipino girls are not high maintenance at all, but once they're hooked on to you, they'll never let you leave.&nbsp; hahhah!

Women do talk about each other, but I know a lot of men that are much more vicious about it. I don't like what's implied here -- that women talk shit about their friends. Some do, sure, but I don't, so I just don't like the sweeping generalization. Sorry I got us off topic :blush:

Indonesian Chinese studying in the US tend to be pretty unrepresentative of the average Chinese in Indonesia ... even more so than the foreign students from other countries are unrepresentative of their average citizens. Ultra-rich kids (usually with government hookups) who grew up with a definite sense that they're better than everyone else, whether bumi or Chinese, cuz of their money. Of course, that leads them to throw their money around all the time to prove they're better than everyone else. Admittedly crude, but it makes for fun parties if ya hang around them.

currently everything is very balanced and for the first time i'm content. it discredited any notion that i've had that the asian woman is not asian boyfriend friendly.

This thread was created so that women of other Asian ethnicities could be discussed period. And btw, the members of YW have collectively trashed Korean and Chinese men/women many times over in the form of unnecessary rehashed threads that somehow seem to always focus on comparing or contrasting the two groups. Why is it always like this? It's not like there is a strong Korean presence here on YW either, so I don't see why the tendency to compare Chinese and Koreans is greater than say, comparing Chinese (simply b/c this is what constitutes most of YW) with any other group. In the end, we're all complaining about problems stemming such tried-and-true complaints such as fetishization, emasculation, and internecine/external racism. You can say this is a new angle on it, but I don't see it. All the response posts here sound like the same old stuff to me.

I wish I could join in on this bitchfest, but the only groups of people I have real issues with are southerners, Greeks, and Canadians. Let me know when you get to those people. I hate them.

Just think of it, do you prefer a shiny white handsome man or a darker (tan looking) handsome man? Research show that 98% of women prefer the tan looking one hence the famous term “Tall, Dark and Handsome” and not "Tall, Light and Handsome". Why women prefer the tan looking one well, it is a long evolutionary story, go search on the net if you want to know. As for shallowness of judging a book by its cover, we will probably be like this for eternity as we human just love other beautiful people, its in our nature and I don’t see it changing anytime soon.
