I'll be looking forward to this game and not just cause the Mariners are my favorite team either. This should be interesting, as Ichiro Suzuki of the Seattle Mariners and Hideki Matsui, the newly acquired slugger from Japan who plays for the Yankees. This oughta be good. It's on ESPN2 at 6 PM.

How do you think this'll turn out? Now I know the Yankees are on a winning streak right now but the Mariners don't suck. Go Seattle!!!!

See, I don't see how this is Ichiro vs Matsui at all, not unless Matsui hits the ball into RF or Ichiro into LF.

If anything this is Matsui vs Sasaki and Hasegawa. They are the ones who will be pitching against him.

Well Sasaki is a relief pitcher, so it'll only be for the last inning or two.

The article is really what hyped up as if it were a one-on-one competition. In either case, several of the best talent japan has to offer will be playing in this game. Actually, the game would be interesting to watch anyway, with or without the japanese players, well, cause the mariners are my team and I really would love to see them stick it to the yankees.

Matsui got a hit off Hasegewa in the 9th.

Sasaki's on the DL.

Ichiro got a bunt single.

Neither guy did very much.

I live in the NYC area and get the YES network, which broadcasts Yankees games. I'll be watching tomorrow too. Maybe the guys will do something in tomorrow's game.

It seems like the league has figured out matsui.

He can't hit low and inside.

Hope he can adjust.
