i used it a lot in school, and now that i have a desk calender at work and outlook I find myself too lazy to keep 3 seperate calenders up to date.
I sync my appts. with Outlook daily, have a ToDo list in there. Restaurant database, maps of NJ and NYC, subway calculator are all useful, replacing bulkier items. Text reader with e-books and Scrabble, and the Palm's the only thing I have to carry. Sure does look damn geeky when I whip it out though. I don't think I could use an oldskool paper planner though.
If anyone needs software, PM me.

I haven't used mine in a year. I've learned to commit most important things to memory and I write the rest in my organizer.
I'm regressing into a paper-based lifestyle.

when i had a palm, my life was on it,
then i changed to an ipaq, which i feel
is /a lot/ harder to use, frikking windows
ce and what not, so i'm not using it as
much. i think i'm gonna change back to
the palm os.

I've been meaning to use mine, but I haven't gotten into the habit of it yet.

Do you guys recommend getting one for college? I'll probably have more stuff to do and keep track of than the paper organizers I've been using throughout high school.
But I keep hearing about how people don't use it because it isn't convenient enough, even though that's the point?

organizer? man screw that, I write down my school assignments on my wall calendar and I write down appointments, group meetings, dates, etc. on an index card which I carry around in my wallet and replace about once a week.
phone numbers go in a little black book and not just in my cellphone, as I have painfully found out from losing my cellphone and being unable to contact anyone I knew cuz I hadn't the faintest clue what their numbers where. This is one area where I might be amenable to technological upgrades like syncing with my computer and whatnot. But a Palm Pilot? man i never plan far enough in advance to need something like that, before a week comes up I only have days, then as the week progresses I get actual times.

I use mine everyday. I use the contact info the email client, docs to go, Vindigo and splash photo. I've also downloaded a few e-books to read in my free time. I love it.

I usually just write stuff down on a piece of paper and pin it to my pinboard. Or if they're phone numbers or addresses, I just use the small booklet. And if its an event, I would write it on my calendar. Its much faster and more efficient for me. Buying a palm pilot would be a waste of money in my case.
But there are palm pilots out there with digital cameras installed and you can take pictures of people without them knowing. That's kinda scary. But fun. This would have been perfect for the person who said they saw their perfect 10 on the bus. ;) Sorry, I forgot who it was.

Mine now sits on my office desk. I use it more for storing family addresses and phone numbers, more than for work.
My coworker is good enough to take notes during meetings. While I can't remember how to do a "k" sometimes.
