Body hair? Not sure. I should ask my brother. I know that he has triracial hair on his head. I didn't believe it at first, but my mother insisted that he had afro, straight and curly hair. And apparently she was right.

I also can't believe you and so many other people on this site make such a big deal out of race. If two people love eachother, it doesn't matter what race they are, and it certainly doesn't matter what race their children are.

I would think that biracial marriages should be viewed as breaking down racial walls and classifications, but instead, (because of people like you) they have spawned a whole new set of classifications and racial boundaries.

Hey i have a random question....why is the hair on the other parts of my body sort of a dark brown whereas the hair on top of my head is pretty much black? I know that supposedly there is no such thing as purely black hair because even in the light my head hair also shows up as brown but not as easily. Why is this? and I'm not hapa

And what the hell would you know about being mixed race seeing that you're a self-labeled European American? Don't propose to speak for me about what I should or shouldn't talk about as a person of mixed race and partial Asian descent.

Number two, since you will NEVER have to personally deal with knowing what it's like to be part Asian in both a non-Asian dominant society and/or an Asian-dominant society you can pack that flowery breaking down racial walls interracial relationship crap off to some happy Americanized ideals of diversity site where you can get all the affirmation you need from other people just like you.

You have no circumstance or qualification that makes you an expert on who we are or how we can explore issues. Gee, white? Yeah, I got that covered. Oh, in a relationship with an Asian? Already there. Claiming to know what it's like to be part Asian just because you might have mixed race Asian children? Sorry, doesn't work that way. We know because a lot of us have a white parent.

The above is my reaction as a person of partial Asian descent. Below is my reaction as the moderator of this forum.

This forum is first and foremost for people of partial Asian descent. Yes, we have posters of either full or non Asian descent that contribute but this is one of the few places mixed Asian people can gather and discuss issues as they relate to the greater Asian American community, Asia or otherwise. This is not a forum for non-Asians to talk about their interracial romance with an Asian. Go celebrate your relationship in the relationship forum or visit whiteasian.org. You want to argue about a hapa issue, keep it to a hapa issue in this forum. That is not a request but a warning. Have a nice day.

edit: I was asked how I knew reciever with an ie was white. Here ya go. Personally I think this is a woman and not a man. Just a feeling.

i mean it, but not just for that reason. my family is pretty racist. my mom was always saying racial epithets and what not. she gave me a pretty fucked view on caucasians, and so as time went on, i tended to not hang around caucasians. only about a year and a half ago did i come to realize that i'm an internalized racist. meaning against caucasians. i don't use racial slurs against any group, even caucasians, but i will admit that i do hold a bias against caucasians. caucasians start with one strike against them in my book. i'm trying to get over that, but for now, that's what i am.

i've felt this way since i was little though. originally it was because of how many different times caucasians would handle themselves in history, and became more about the ignorance (note taz: not ingrate :rolleyes: ) of my mother and ill she tried to breed against other races.

that's it in a nutshell.

the current SARS situation (referring to the belated and poor handling) and the infinite number of people and entities (not just Chinese or Asian) that will be affected coupled with the complete retarded stubborn evasiveness of the mainland Chinese government makes me ashamed to be Chinese *shrug*...whether or not this feeling is justified is another story, despite having absolutely no control over this I still feel it from time to time. It just pisses me off to think that the PRC elites were actually blaming HongKong for broadcasting this for fear that China would look bad.

The only reason why China is hauling ass now is because of the growing possibility that SARS will seriously fuck over the economy, not because they are afraid of losing people or lives. As my mom once told me, 'In China, life has little worth'. Perhaps I've been brainwashed, but all my life my parents have just been feeding me reasons not to respect the Chinese government (my dad is a mainlander and he constantly criticizes the PRC and why it's a corrupt and money-grubbing whorehouse). Although I don't necessarily agree with my mother, as a schoolteacher she interacts with various Asian kids each day whether they be Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese immigrants etc and she always feels as if Chinese mainlander parents are the most intolerable in the areas of foolish pride, aggressiveness for the sake of beating down others and not for the sake of the child, competitiveness, greed, etc regardless of how these elements exist in virtually all cultures or societies.

This tangent should probably go in the SARS thread, but actually I was just building off of Himura's 'ashamed to be caucasian' remark. I'm not anti-PRC or pro-KMT or pro-Taiwan or whatever, if anything the KMT sucked ass and had their fair share of ass-kissing misguided problems but the beauty of debate is that you can find fault with virtually anything and anyone.
