No, high-maintanance chicas who need constant reassurrance and babying are initially cute, but get tiresome [i:7cd157acdf]real[/i:7cd157acdf] fast.

Kinda going with angelnympho. I tend to baby the girls when I am dating outside the Asian race. Why? I don't know, it's just been the trend I noticed. Maybe I am just trying to shoplift the pooty? <shrug>

>> what do you mean by baby? i like my guys to open doors for me and do the usual gentlemanly things...but i dont like when a guy showers me with gifts, acts like im some fragile porcelain doll, and hangs around me 24/7. im a big girl i can take care of myself. for the most part i like being treated like an equal nothing higher and mos def nothing below or ill have to bring out my whip *whoopaahh*

Is it possible that asian girls when dating asian guys, look to the asian guy as a "father figure" thats why they are more proned to be babied when dating an asian guy as opposed to dating a white guy? Not counting cases of adoption or mixed marriages. But in the case of asian-asian marriages the dominant male figure in your life growing up was your dad. Not in any means to sound sexist or too freudian, but I have heard this theory from a few asian women that I know.

i think it happens quite often (as gross as it may sound). in some cases, maybe even just an older brother figure rather than a father figure. hence, in many traditional chinese relationships, the women call the men 'goh' and in many korean relationships, 'oppa'...

yeah this is true, but you know, i've never heard any chinese girl or woman refer to her boyfriend as "goh" (or "ge" in mandarin). i've only seen this on tv and movies when they were supposed to be in historical periods of time.

actually it means "spank your ass"
and "oppa" is what a girl calls her older brother, or an older male out of respect.
