Has it affected any of you?
I've only been to a club since it went into effect, and they give people an area to go out and puff-puff. If you try to do it on the dance floor, a bouncer will come and tell you to go to a designated area.
How do they enforce it in bars, which are smaller and usually more crowded?
As a non-smoker, I like my clothes not stinking afterwards, in addition to health reasons.
Too bad for me that for most of the ladies I see, the better looking they are, the more likely they are to be a smoker.
Just an observation.
I'm there for the music though. Maybe it's cuz I've got no skilz and got no game.
I should still bring a lighter. Seems like a good way to meet people.

i always thought it was disrespectful for people
to smoke on the dance floor.
it gets crowded and there were many times when
i was burned.
i feel like an ass having to leave the building
to smoke outside in the cold, though.
i'm quitting.
cutting down. whatever.
i'm glad i won't be making people around me sick though.
what happens to cigarette bars and cigar lounges?
i'm curious...

Wow that is trippy. I can't remember the last time I could legally smoke in a club, let alone on the dance floor (Korean clubs don't count).

I love the ban and the ability to wear my black pants more than once because it no longer smells like smoke.

I wish that they had banned smoking permaneantly. But I guess that will only be a dream since tobacco industry flopping would be bad for the economy...

What? Why's everybody complaining? This has been the law in CA for daaaaaaaaayyyyys... You'll get over it, you'll get used to it. As it turns out, the outdoor smoking areas become totally kickass places to meet people.

me; I enjoy the ban that they did in CA. Ppl have health problems, and it's just reasonable in terms of safety to have it outside. Don't want to have another club fire now do we?

I agree. I seem to have a better time out in the smoking area then in a club or bar.

Yeah, but it gets friggan cold in NY. There's none of that hanging outside to smoke in the middle of february here.
