What do you think? He did pretty well yesterday... One hit in four scoreless innings. I just hope he doesn't burn out. I read somewhere that his pitch count over the last few years and his young age is statistically putting him in danger of injuring his arm.

Also, what's the latest on Hee-Seop Choi? Is he going to get the starting 1B job?

Kim looked good, but I am also concerned about him starting. He is such a great relief pitcher, I think he could dominate for years to come. As a starter I am afraid he will burn out his arm with that delivery. But what do I know? Kim thinks he can do it and more power to him. Hee-Seop Choi is supposed to be the starting first baseman for the Cubs, so I hope he gets off to a hot start (they have Eric Karros on the bench in case he falters).

Choi should do well, but he'll have the same struggles that all rookies do.

I'm afraid of Karros cuz Dusty Baker loves to play veterans and Karros on the bench only gives him an excuse no to play Choi.

B-H Kim...he wants to start because starting means so much to Korean pitchers. Even being an elite closer means nothing. Hopefully he does well, but his pitch count is a concern...he's never been an efficient pitcher. Plus, a lot of people think his delivery helps him because it is so unique, but by the third time he goes through a line-up they'll have solved the delivery, so he'll have to get by on stuff and location, which he may not be able to do based on his track record of pitch count. We'll see.

With Mantei back, Arizona could spare him from the bullpen and put him in the rotation. They also need to replace the aging Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling eventually. Kim's still young, so perhaps he's one of the possible future members of the rotation post-RJ/CS. He's also arbitration eligible and about to get expensive, so he could be trade bait as well.

Kim Byung Hyun can't handle pressure.

But he is awesome when he is good.

Now that Kim is on my fantasy team, I hope he stays a closer.

Unless he gets 20 wins as a starter.
