took my car into the dealer this weekend. discovered that they extended the emissions warranty for 95, 96, and 97 civics from 4 years to 8 years and from 60,000 miles to 120,000 miles. so i got my exhaust pipe, which was cracked, replaced for free. they also replaced my spark plugs and changed my oil for free - is that pretty standard? just thought those of you with civics might want to know.

honda must have really screwed up the emissions on their cars. i just got a new computer in my insight because it was emitting too much and would not pass a smog test. this is a hybrid, and it can't pass that test. this was my third computer and the car only has 16k on it. last time, the computer died and it wouldn't recognize my key.

Werd, that's just pure IRONY right there. An ecologically friendly vehicle failing to pass a smog test... Perhaps the Civic HX has the lowest emissions of all the Hondas? :confused:

if you have a 6th gen accord. be glad your tranny warranty was extended.
I'm on my third transmission at 39,000 miles and my accord is a 2002.

WHAT?? third transmission???

thats crazy.. what was wrong with them??

i have a 99 6th gen, going on 60k and i haven't had any problems..

just goes to show that hybrid cars are a BAD idea.
