It takes a while to load cuz the page is one giant image ... ggah. It's a canned-drink warmer (e.g. for canned coffee, canned hot chocolate, and other stuff like that, which are more popular in Japan than over here) which connects to a PC's USB port. It only takes 350ml cans though ... no mugs or other stuff like that.

no it's powered off the usb
Right, but what's the POINT of it being powered off the USB is what SWK is trying to say.
You could just as easily plug in a damn drink warmer in any outlet. What's the advantage of it being USB? Do you get to set temperature? Will the computer tell you when it senses the optimal temp? What's the big friggen deal with this stupid thing? lol

That is cool.
Some workplaces don't let you plug accessory eqiopment into electrical outlets, citing a fire hazard. A USB-powered drink warmer could circumvent that rule.

That would be Tiiiite! You'd be able to specifically set how warm you'd want it to be to the nearest degree. Of course, that'd probably make it an extra $20 bux or so...

did I see the post about the USB toothbrush here or at some other website? shameless plug: anyway, I translated an article about it from Japanese. see http://mixedasian.blogspot.com/2003_02_23_...e.html#89803805 (http://mixedasian.blogspot.com/2003_02_23_mixedasian_archive.html#89803805)
yeah there seem to be a proliferation of useless devices lately which power themselves off USB but have no other real use. but I guess it leads the way towards putting little microchips in it which interface to a PC through USB port.
