Eunuchs.

You've heard of them, you've seen them...but probably haven't heard much from them since becoming eunuchized.

In an attempt to move away from having to constantly baby the more unruly of us through banning, eunuchization has become the preferred, non-lethal use of force. The upside is that although eunuchs are rendered relatively useless, their status as such is temporary. How long? I dunno! As long as the eunuchization/rehabilitation will take.

The following are a list of restrictions placed on all YW members who've become eunuchized:

Can view board? Yes
Can view OFFLINE board? No
Can view member profiles and the member list? No
Can view other members topics? Yes
Can use search? No
Can mail members from the board? No
Can edit own profile info? No
Can use PM system? Yes
Max. Number of storable messages? 1
Can Upload avatars? No
Can post new topics (where allowed)? No
Can reply to OWN topics? Yes
Can reply to OTHER members topics (where allowed)? Yes
Can edit own posts? No
Edit time restriction (in minutes)? 1 minute
Allow user to remove 'Edited by' legend? No
Can delete own posts? No
Can open/close own topics? No
Can delete own topics? Yes No
Can start new polls (where allowed)? No
Can vote in polls (where allowed)? No
Can avoid flood control? Yes No
Can avoid moderation queues? No
Can add events to the calendar? No
Can submit new quotes? No

In addition, eunuchs will not be able to access certain forums (such as the Rant Room) at all.

I really don't think we ask for that much. I'd say YW is one of the most tolerant and friendly forums out there. I think if you're having trouble getting along with some of the folks here, then everyone outside of YW must already despise you.

LMAO! Actually, it's funny, because me and my friend referred to each other as "eunuch" during college after we took China Civ. together and learned WTF eunuchs were. We were like, "Damn! That's gotta hurt!"

It doesn't seem that bad, but it is restrictive enough, also being tagged with a Eunuch title has to smart a bit too.

ehhh eunuchization isn't THAT bad. I mean they can still reply to others on topics, right? i assume the reason why a person's eunuchized to begin w/ is b/c ppl don't like their replies. or do they automatically require permission fr a mod or admin to post?
