Stalking people--flattery or felony?

Ok, you can see I am REALLY REALLY bored and perhaps very disturbed.

But anyway, since I'm technically the moderator here, I thought I'd start at least one topic.

How do people feel about stalking people? Like what would you consider stalking? AND given what you think, is it necessarily wrong to stalk someone or only wrong when she's aware of it?

I mean although I'm always making myself out to be a psycho stalker, I've never ACTUALLY stalked someone, but I guess I come close cuz I used to time my leaving home, etc schedule to errr coincide w/ those of some girls in my neighborhood or school. Is that considered stalking or just a bit of an overboard infatuation? Cuz it's not like I would leave at 5 am to stalk anyone, just like leave at 7 instead of 7:30, for example.

Or like my first yr in college when I discovered this thing called "email," I would like send massive quantities of emails to old hs classmates or old elementary school classmates i'd see and talk to on the subway once in a while (the very ones I timed to leave at the same time). So is that just really bad boredom and loneliness or would that be considered stalking? And even if it is borderline stalking, is it bad or just kind of corny?

yeah, their creepy, i dont like the feeling either. and i think when its unwanted... than you can call it stalking. And i only see it as flattery... if she likes that attention.. however, if she doesnt know about it.. i dunno...

I don't think that's stalking at all. I think practically every guy's done that sorta thing. It's when you can't stop yourself from hunting them down taht it becomes a bit icky.

So anyway, so far it's about guys stalking girls? But what do ppl think about GIRLS stalking GUYS? Like I find it at least a bit of a double standard that women can OPENLY ADMIT they stalk guys and ppl sort of brush it off as infatuation, but if a guy is even SLIGHTLY obsessed w/ a girl, people think he's a stalker and shot be locked away and castrated by rats.

Or like when women press men for a date or whatever, it's kind of just accepted. When a man presses a woman for a date, it's restraining order time or sexual harassment.

is it considered stalking if a guy from a forum you post in constantly private messages and IMs you utlizing several different screennames only to say things like such as:
