Things I want to see:
An unmoderated personal attacks forum. Sometimes I have the feeling that people are holding back on what they really want to say.
A list showing the order in which we became mafia.
A higer rank than mafia at 5000, then 10000 posts. (which you may have already made)
Random contests
um..
Can't think of much else, YW is great.

I don't see what having unmoderated personal attacks will accomplish except to find out how truly evil everyone can be.
I like the idea of contests though...

yeah, unmodded personal attack forms, well they don't work out to well. I post at a site with one. And basically, it is just
Poster: I hate . . .
Admin: If you say that about my friend again I will ban you
So yeah, and it really has no purpose, and a waste of space and bandwidth. I think yellowworld, needs less black people. I am afraid of losing my novelty. (J/K, somewhat . . . ). I think the admins or Mafia, should have little game and such . . . I don't know. It would be fun . . . I have ideas, maybe I would PM an Admin . . . I don't know. And maybe a pop up window that tells you when your PM box has new post. Aside from that. YW OWNZ ME.
OH YEAH, thanks to Korean Hunk post whoring it reminded. I always wanted to suggest make a "Locked Topics" or something to that affect thread. Because leaving locked topics, scattered in the bulk of the forums, can be very unfriendly and even "intimidating" to new comers, y'know. I know it is just me, and my opinion could mean less, but I think the admins should take that one into serious consideration. I don't know what it should be called "Locked and Dead Topics" who knows, but that would really clear space some in the actual forums themselves. And may attract people that you never know you were losing. Because I hate going to forums with a lot of locked topic. It give the perception, that the Admins and Mods are strict. And since their have been a surge of n00bs their have been a lot of topic locking going on. So yeah . . .
And can you make an exception for me, to get into the Mafia . . . plz . . . I can only post and relate to so many topics so that is discrimination . . . LOL. I am so BSing you guys.
Love YW!!

I would love to see a list of all eunuchs and banned mofo's.
I know I'm pushing it, but I'd also love to see what they did to get there. I know it's not happening, but the gossipy (I know, so bad) side of me is so curious!

Sort of a "throw 'em in an electrified cage with a piece of meat in the center" kinda thing? :D

But this is a good thing, believe it or not. There might seem to be some value with brutal honesty and 'keepin it real' but in reality, those things usually turn into outright laziness in debate. There's definitely more harm than good with that...prior to starting yw, I never had a problem with hitting below the belt, but since then, one of the things I've come to hate is when members get attacked here.

This could take a little work to automate. Might be easier to just start a thread...like the donor one...

All Powerful Overlord?:) I'm open to suggestions...but I'd prefer to keep the members who are current YW Mafia up on top...a thousand posts is a lot by most standards I think, even nuttier when you consider a lot of 'em joined within the past few months.

They are both potential tools of oppression:P
Still testing 'em out...you get money for each post or reply; karma can be used by mods to warn unruly members...

I'd like to see an area that is run like a liberal newspaper. No slander, no libel, no profanity. But you can post what you really think and what you really feel, uncensored. If you're black and you don't like how Koreans act, you can say what you think without targeting any one individual and if people get mad about that than so be it. But at least this way, issues are out in the open and real resolution is possible provided that it doesn't get personal and we're not being vituperative. The About.com forums are run like that and I've had some constructive debates in the race relations threads.

we can have debates w/ out such rants that's just going to upset others.
i think rants such like that are the more immature root to go as far as intelligent discussions.
it's just noise. and noise just starts thing off on the wrong foot.
if you want a place to rant, make your own website with a comment section.
besides... i don't think any properly run community would allow some one to slander another race... and yes. if a black went off negatively about how koreans act, that to me is slander.
discussions needn't come from shock value. that's old, boring and pretty insulting to people's intelligence.

Shy:
I don't know...see the problem is you can't please everyone. Someone will always be offended by something...and some people aren't as offended as they are not comfortable enough with someone saying something contrary to their own beliefs or opinion.
I am for straight talk...to be honest I am not easily offended by race related talk or whatever...I do not take kindly to personal attacks, but say what you like otherwise, you can be a white supremist, I am not going to shout and scream because someone has some racist ideas...as long as they aren't using the N-word or some other thing, I could care less.
Malcolm X said, "I much prefer a man who tells me where he stands, even if he is wrong, than to come at me like an angel when he is really nothing but a devil..."
I agree with that. Until we get down to the dirt, and people really air their grievances, nothing will ever change. All you will have is what we have in the US today, a bunch of people trying to act PC in public and expressing their hate in private. That's not the solution. Maybe if these people were not afraid to say what they think (as long as it is reasonable, like I said, not racial slurs or whatever) and could debate that with someone else, they might have an opprotunity to work on it. Hiding your true feelings, won't do anything, if anything it creates more bitterness, and the hatred will continue.
This is similar when I was in Asia, peopel are much more blunt with a lot of sexist and racial talk, but hey it didn't bother me, cause I knew who really wanted to be cool with me and who didn't and who I wanted to be cool with...it was refreshing to all this closet racist backstabbing that is in the US.

down and dirty is like 'shock value' to me. a game that advertisements and marketing schemes have overplayed far too much.
perhaps i am also leery to her intent because she hasn't shown much responsibility thus far in trying not to offend others.
i just think we can be more progressive w/out have to fall backwards in letting people rant about a particular race. isn't that allowing for generalization and stereotyping? isn't that against the rules?
i'm all for open discussions...
but do we need it to start with "i'm a black person... and this is what i don't like about koreans" (her example, not mine)?
sorry, but i have backgruond training in group communication as far as facilitating large group discussions. and it's been shown that these sorts of discussions are LESS effective. sure nothing is perfect. i'm not asking for perfection.
i'm just asking for more effort to be a bit more sensible. especially if you want to promote effective discussions.

how about let's not have a rant room about how you hate this ethnic group or this religious group. This is a public community for god's sake.
