I wanted to see if i can reproduce the feel and mood of some of my favorite paintings by Luis Royo using 3D Studio MAX.
Here is a sample

As you can see I really like the pics where the subject is in fron of a metal or stone wall with some sort of circular structute as a focal point to draw your eye to the subject.
My first attempt in MAX was not all that great :(

So i decided to open Adobe Illustrator and came up with a design first, and came up with this

Then I brought the AI file into MAX, and after a day and a half of fighting with it got this...

Next i will be adding a bit more Nernie detail in MAX and creating texture maps.
