Last night, I took a walk with Mr. Sandman. At the corner of Dream Street on my way to No Man's Land, I saw a baby boy holding a small wooden bow and quiver full of arrows. He had eyes blue like the sky, curly blonde hair, two tiny wings, and didn't wear clothes. First thing I thought to myself was, "What a cute kid." He said, "What's up Chop-Jae, I go by the name of Cupid." I said, "Hei, little man, what are doing here?" Ah, you know, just making my rounds, it's about that time in our newest year. Having said this, he sighed, and looked at the ground. By the way his wings sagged and his curly Q drooped, I knew his face had a frown. Uh-oh you better cheer up little Cherub, this is your chance to shine! I know, but my heart's just not in it anymore, I feel the romance has died. Why you say that, pal? Please, elaborate, explain. You see, too many people use their hearts just for moving blood through their veins. There's no real romance in their plans, they just want to exchange gifts, then dinner and whatnot cos it's expected before they get naked. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's okee being horny, but I wish there was more lovey-dovey, being mushy, almost kind of corny. Then, there's those people who think this is all some big Hallmark conspiracy... *sigh* hm, let me tell you like this, Cue, I love my boo (not thanks to you), and every single time I talk to her, it's all heart, sincere and sweet. Out of all the girls in the world, she's the most special of all to me. I want her to reach the highest threshold of love through me. I'm confident the love we share is pure cos when she's somewhere I'm not, I don't feel insecure. I know she'd never hurt me. Everything feels so clean with her even when we're being dirty. In her, I've put complete and total trust. I know we're doing something right when being apart just a few feet ain't close enough. So you see, February 14 is a tribute to first crushes and love, a day to melt away the stress that's trying to rush us above. It's not about flowers and candy, understand, C? It's about all the many hours of standing by each other through thick and thin. I thought it had all gone too commercial, but you made me think again. Thanks for making glad my saddenned mind, Jae. Anytime, Cupid, Happy Valentine's Day!
