Hello Mike...some comments from one webmaster to another:

- You have a lot of nice content for a personal site. I liked your "man code" section:)
- It looks like you own your domain...why are you still using geocities?
- Some of your pics are pretty large. The main picture, for example, is a pretty hefty file. You might want to consider optimizing it using Photoshop to reduce the overall size (so that 56.K peeps won't have to wait too long).

Well, as far as the picture sizes go, they've already been significantly reduced in size. I take pictures at 1600x1200, which is around 400k each, and now they've been resized and reduced to 800x600 and about 40k each. Almost all of my friends use cable, dsl, or T1, so it doesn't really matter for them.

I use geocities because I am extremely lazy. I started the website long ago, before I had the domain, and I don't feel like transfering it, nor do i feel like paying for bandwith and storage. Usually, the geocities bandwith and storage is enough, only when i make large updates do people flock to it, and i'm sure they can wait an extra hour to see the pictures. Also, I distributed pop-up blocker to all of my friends, so they don't even see the pop-ups.
