i'm wondering what people pack to work to eat for lunch. I'm usually too lazy to drive out to get food since i work in the suburbs (and too cheap) so i bring my lunch almost every single day..
about 95% of the time, i bring a sandwich and chips.. after 5 months.. its getting kinda old. even w/ different meats and cheese, cause you can only do so many combo's y'know?
the other 5% is the rare occassion taht i cook, i'll bring leftovers.
so i'm lookin for some other ideas...

i bring my lunch too. i use chopsticks because they're easier than forks to transport, and i get strange looks in the lunchroom from the old white guys when i use them.

I usually just have some bread, cuz I work at a Cantonese bakery, hehe.

moving...
I try to bring my lunch to bring down my cost per (lunch) meal by 80%. Usually I'll bring sandwich, but on occasion I'll make salads -- favorite is diced tomatoes, lettuce, bbq pork -- balsamic vinegar.
The packaged Lipton noodles are really easy to make, top them with veggies.
Favorite summer sandwich -- avocado, shrimp, tomatoe, bacon
Pizza rolls, Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice (kinda bland actually), Michelinas, canned soups (pull lid open), cup-o-noodles, fruits, jell-o, juice boxes, yogurt, milk.
And of course -- leftovers from mom and dad.

Me too, I bring whatever I have at home, including rice dishes. When I was younger I'd be worried that I'd get strange looks for being in such ethnic foods. As I got older, I realized that most people tend to be envious cause they're stuck with ham and cheese and you've got homemade rice and chicken. Yummm.
