i always feel a little inadequate when they ask if i have a skill that i don't have. i always just have to bullshit it and say i want to learn or i'm planning to learn, or in some instances, i've done it on my own but not professionally.

i was once asked to read about the company and then take 1 min to think of a 30 sec. rap about the company and its job.

I was asked one time to roleplay as a WWF wrestler and to do a mock interview before a fight. I think I answered it adequately well.

1. i was interviewing with munger, tollles & olsen. the interviewer looked at my resume, then looked up at me and said, "you *do* know that we're on the other side, right?" :D
she proceeded to grill me about what i would do / how i would feel if i had to fight a employment discrimination case on the side of a big firm defendant. i think i gave her a surprised look like, "wow. your firm is scummy like that??" (duh. i should've known.) then i answered with how there are always meritorious cases and nonmeritorious cases and big firms deserve a good defense against the nonmeritorious employment discrimination cases.
2. i was interviewing with the las vegas district attorney's office. *great* interview, b/c i'm pretty familiar with criminal law/criminology. at the end, she smiled and said, "well, i'm glad they're are people like you. we need to go out there and get those thugs." i gave her a like that said, "who *are* you?" (i *hate* labeling people as thugs.)
didn't get either job. :) good thing cause i'm happy with where i'm at right now.

I have no idea how to answer the question "so, how were your undergrad grades?"
They were bad and I have no excuse for them and would rather forget them. I'd rather go on my law school record alone.

1) Med school interview: "Why do you want to be a MD?"
Response: "I have this unfulfilled desire to serve people"
The truth: I wasn't ready for the real world yet. Daddy and mommy's not gonna let me move back home.
2) Surgical Department Interview for Residency (Current hosiptal, I'm doing my residency): "Why do you want to be a surgeon?"
Response: "The surgical field has always been of keen interest to me. It's on forefront of cutting edge medicine and medical technology that I would like to be a part of. I enjoy working with my hands and I believe after four years of medical school this is the field I can help patients the most and excel at."
The truth: I probably couldn't cut it in the other specialities.

i never liked the 'tell me your weaknesses' question..
i mean... who the heck would actually just sit there and bag on themself...
i usually say something like.. 'i have a high level of expectation from co workers.. ' or something like that..

what makes you so special that I should hire you?
Damnit, I'm applying for a retail job, so I'm NOTHING Special, and you know it, I know it, and I'm gonna leave within the year, so wtf?!
And right after that question, "will you work for a lower wage than what you ask for right now?"
yea..... I walked after that asshole said that.

but don't they always ask that? i remember, in high school, i would put down a ridiculously high amount on my job applications for retail positions b/c i knew they wouldn't give me that amount anyway.

What are some of the interview questions that you've been asked that you didn't have a good answer for ?
"If you have a sphere, drill out a cylinder along one axis of the sphere, and remove it, so that the height of the remaining portion of the remaining portion is 10 inches, what is the volume of the remaining portion?"
It could have been a hard question. Too bad for the interviewer, it probably wasn't one he came up with himself. Cuz I asked him one followup question and got him to give away the answer. Hahah dumbass, think you're all smart and powerful cuz you have a position at a big firm and make hiring decisions ...
