Yes it is officially illegal to hold a "rave" in florida and some other states even if you have a club liscense and everything, too many drug pushers and not enuff hardcore dancers =/

well, here it's not so illegal... sorta. city officials that are worried about having a rave thrown in their town can put pressure on the police/fire/whatever department to pull the permits. raves up here in norcal (at least the more commerical ones) can only go till 2am. but yeah, e + underage kids + ignorance + media = overdose/death for the kid, and the slow slow death of the rave scene.
