i think i chose law for the most arbitary reason possible. i was five-years-old, lying down on the carpet, watching t.v. it was christmas or thanksgiving or something, and my relatives were over. my uncle asked what i wanted to be in the future. i really just wanted to watch t.v. and didn't want to converse with him, so i randomly answered, "a lawyer," and focused my attention back on the show. before i knew it, he was in the kitchen telling everyone in a loud voice that i wanted to be a lawyer. and so here i am.

I used to play doctor with the girls in my neighborhood, alot.
I'm not kidding. As time progressed the human body is what interested me.

Hear that girls? Don't have bunboy as your doctor, he'll put you under and molest jo0!
I grew into the IT field.
When I was a wee little boy my pops brought home an Apple IIc. I played Karateka.
When I was a little older my pops brought home an IBM 386. I played Doom.
When I was a little older I brought home an IBM 486. I played Doom II and found out how to network computers together so me and my friends could play.
When I was in college all I did was build networks and play Doom II and other games with a multiplayer over IP function. (also spent all of my free time under a car....automobiles purchased from auctions were fun to rebuild)
So basically, my career has been what I've been messing with since childhood.

That's what we're counting on.
My family owned an Asian grocery when I was a kid so I've always had a fascination for international issues -- the movement of goods and people across borders. Hence customs and trade now and international law in a few years.

yeah, in light of the shit they are gettin nowadays in the media, i've always wanted to be a popo...i've been in college-off/on for so long, changing majors (from bio to business, to sports and leisure studies!).....when i was a kid i always wanted to be a 5-0, but my pops thinks being a cop is the 'dumbest job in america...' well, dumbest b/c 'you don't know who the enemy is and who has a gun.' finally, i have resisted and am goin through w/my aspiration to become one...ditto w/army..for some odd reason, i've always wanted to be in...now, i'm in-sucks :( -they are paying for school...ideally, would want lapd to pay for grad school :D B)

back to the topic....well i always liked to draw. I got into graffiti as teen. But graffiti wasn't paying the bills so i decided that it would be better if i got a job using my drawing and visualization skills. So i decided to become a mechanical designer.

good line during interviews.
I kinda fell into my profession (graduated post 2001 -- so no jobs anywhere). Went into Finance because thought people made tons of money and travelled all over the place. Now I realize that most financial people made tons of money illegally and have to flee the country. <_<
Really want to go back to my first passion -- teaching in the city. (Pay sucks -- average entry level salary here is 28-29K) So when the day comes when I have enough money to support my parents AND my family then I will go teach.

i kinda fell into mine too.
i always tutored kids through out high school and college.
and when i graduated. i hated the first job. so i quit.
then i got a job as a travel writer. which i got bored of after a few months.
and now i'm back to teaching again. it's fun. i'm the cool teacher. so it's good.
and plus the majority of the kids are college undergrads. v. good fun.
my future, as my family sees it, is to be in sugarland texas, sweating on the oilfields.
but i don't think so.
i want a flowershop. one day.
I got pressured into it by my parents. I'm a strategic marketing consultant. Graduated in 2002 so economy was still not so great, but I got an offer with Penguin Putnam Publishing House. Pay sucked, but books are what I love. After several guilt trips from my parents, I took the job that made more money, but I'm not happy about it. I go to law school in the fall.

i graduted with bio too, didn't want to do med or grad schools so now i tinker with lab equipment. i guess i would be classified as a handyman or a mr fixit. make sure everything works right so other people can finish their grad careers. i'm still looking for a career. my girl is in grad school now, so hopefully i'll have it figured out by the time she graduates.

Do you want a rugged man? or is it the profession of fire-fighting that attracts you?
