While living in Haman, which is the southern part of korea, like the countryside, i saw alot of Tuscani cars (2003 tiburon) all suped up good. But i wish they had body kits and molded wings...instead of iron grilled type ( the ones you screw on) and maybe hydraulics.

when u say hydrolics, do u mean hydrolic lifts? cause they make that for any car and i know a place that will customize a bodykit to your car. All u need to do is tell them what kit u want...

I mean the ones for the one featured on the movie " The fast and the furious " the white honda del sol at the location of the beginning of the night race...not the ones on the lowriders that bounce up and down...hell no.

sickness, i honestly think u shouldnt fix up that car.

real body kits come from japan or europe! not china, taiwan or korea! jk... im not a fan of body kits especially fiberglass ones. honeslty tiberon will have kits eventually here www.importtrenz.com/ VIS/ Han autotrends will eventually come up w/ one...just keep bugging the shit outa them....

right now tho tiberon probs wont be a popular car...the craze in socal (which inspires the whole US) is JDM style mods, stocker looking, more engine tuning, Rear Wheel Drive and drifting, Nissan Silvia/ 180sx motor swaps, buying an R32 skyline, AE86 and becoming wanna be tofu boys, weird off manufacture conversions, movement toward euro tuning. no tiberon that cars rare in socal... BYö RSX and Celicas.

I don't have a tiburon to fix up. I meant the koreans who drive that in korea. Somehow the new Tuscani is popular. And no, the tiburon and tuscani is not the same thing. Same company, but different model and body shape. The tuscani looks like a porshe.

well theres an idea time to do a conversion to make a tiberon into a tuscani. Money can be made there if people are such ardent supporters of the car. Hmm post a pix dude, then i can fwd the link to one of those kit companies and how u can see those things (converted) in america, if everyones hard core Korean cars like u im sure they'll sell lots =)

what? thats shameful i don't know my own cars. I heard from my cousin in korea this one. He told me the Tiburon was the 1998 up to the year 2002 when they came up with Tuscani which had a different body style.

They're the same car? damn.

I wouldn't sweat it.=)

There is a huge difference, IMHO, between the 2002 and 2003 Tiburon though (both styling and otherwise). The new one's got a lot more class and character. I really like the headlights and taillight treatment. Were it's proportions just a bit different (too nose heavy), I think it'd be one of the best looking small coupes out there.

I hate the coupe body styles. I can't think of a perfect reason, but i hate it. If you mentioned that its called the Tiburon in the north america, why would they call them the tiburon and the tuscani at the same time in korea?

to make a cool name and also brand recognition. in america things are known by names that were used b4, and by reputation.

for example alpha numeric names are used for lexuses versus their japanese names. Even though the model has a different name and sumtimes cooler name in japan they keep the names different. It has to do w/ the tiberon having an established name in america, i think they shoulda called it Scoop like the OG hyundai coupe.
USDM vs. JDM names
Is300 = Altezza
ES300 = Wisom
GS-class = Aristo
LS430 = Celsior
SC430 = Soarer
240sx = 180sx or Silvia
300zx = Fairlady Z
I35 = Ceremo
G35 = Skyline
MRS = Mr2 spyder
M45 = Gloria
G20 = Primera
Altima = Bluebird
Sentra = Sunny or Pulsar

All I know is that when I ran a Google search on Hyundai Tuscani, I came up with a bunch of sites that all said that the Tuscani in Korea was the same thing as the Tiburon in NA. But didn't you say that the Tuscani is a sedan? Hmmm... I'm very confused. Post pics please.

Of course I feel ya. The problem is, since we make up such a small percentage of the national population, of course they've gotta do some racial substitutions to make the film more marketable...=/

white and black people street racing?
so is that how it started with imports? a bunch of black and white guys started it? were those the guys that originally had the words "rice rocket" pelted at them? fuck no. agreed there were many non-asians that were crucial to the development of this new import craze, but can the man not give credit where credit is due? that movie is fucking bullshit and if you're asian and were ever at the street races in the early days, have a little pride. show these lil asian kids out there what's up. the OG's were the ones that made all of this happen for them, but do they care? nope. when some lil teenage ass piece of shit says "oh, it's good to see other races in the import thing because there's too many asians" oh my fucking goodness. do you even fucking understand the message that is being sent to America? the glorification of import street racing when and ONLY when white guys were doing it. BUT did you see all of the horrific TV "breaking news", and negative media that was being shown when import racing was just an "asian thing"? what a great portrayal. makes me sick.

anyone feel me?[/quote:ade69c2f9a]

I feel ya man. Sorry for bringing it up. I had some bad stuff to say about it,but i won't mention it.
