i've been to their forums. it seems a lot of people find linh ko fine as hell. but they find the show to be unprofessional and shabbily produced. i'd try to catch an episode, but i live in the south. <_<

i wouldn't be surprised if it's not that great. but it's the first show made specifically for asian-americans, right?

Well, I've been watching the show and hopefully they can succeed with it. Maybe if enough viewers add their positive input, maybe it can grow to be one of those rare Asian-Am shows to break through.

Is the Y Factor gonna give a shout out to YW like they said they would?

The show could do a bit more to expand their features, I mean if all you're gonna show is cars and car show "models", then you've lost half your audience there.

A big criticism of Linh Ko has been her portrayal of being ditzy...sorta like a dumb asian blonde and "sex candy" to some. I don't know maybe she's lacking that experience but I would say she's doing okay.

:o

that's neat. ask them when they'll do it.

especially since we're advertising for them.

I just watched that a couple days ago, Linh Ko is gorgeous! But it seemed like this show had another host [she was the one asking random people on the streets questions], how come they don't mention her as a host? I actually thought the other host's segments were more interesting.

i think her name is lil kim chee or something

Linh Ko is damn fine... but she does seem like a dumb blonde ditz. This show is reminiscent of the early Yolk mags, a whole lotta fluff, and not a whole lotta content. I didn't see anything on cars or import models.

the lil kim chee chick was asking people on venice beach about certain "asian" facts or something... for instance she asked "people from the philippines are called..?" the one thing that annoyed me about this chix segement is that they did one of those crappy editing things where they just showed the chick asking the people questions, but there was no audio, there was only background music.

they did show music videos, "beats from the motherland" i saw 1 korean video, and 2 japanese ones. I didn't understand any of it.

It seems as if they're trying, but they're not getting anywhere. I would like to see how they come up with their ideas and such. I think that they're trying to stuff too much into the show and because of it, they end up with nothing.

I guess I'll stay tuned next week and see more of this Y factor thingy.

YWMWS gives The Y factor 5 stars outta 10. If Linh Ko wasn't the host, it'd get a 1.

If you're in 818 and have Adelphia, KDOC is channel 16.
