ugh i sure hope none of the guys i date judge me on a bring home to mommy scale...i dont know if id do too well...the first thing my friends mom said to my bf at the time when she saw me was "i dont want grandkids!". she said it in mandarin hoping i wouldnt find out hahaha...geezus...she warmed up to me later though and took me out for dinner along with the fam and even hugged me ^_^ *cheese*

You know, for me, it's the girl I can bring into the fold. I've got a pretty close knit group of friends, and when I start bringing a girl around to hang out with them, they know I really dig her.

Last weekend I did just that, I brought a girl I was seeing to the annual Christmas party. Turns out most of my close friends counldn't make it and I ended up hanging out with people I knew, but not as well. I guess the girls there felt intimidated by her cause not a single one of em talked to her all night. Their boyfriends and husbands sure were considerate, and hovered around her, but none of the girls there gave her the time of day. That really pissed me off. Why do girls have to be so catty?

Hey Tawee, this reminds me of the time when this older African american woman I was seeing wanted me to go with her to a co-worker's daughter's something something, cause she turned eighteen or some crap like that. The co-worker is Filipina. Anyway, nobody, and I mean nobody, talked to me. I tried being cordial and friendly, but got nothing but cold shoulders. Only when my lady returned from mingling with others did I have someone to chat, but when she saw someone she wanted to say hello to, it's off she goes!-- like a drugged racehorse on speed, and it's me standing there holding a drink in my hand asking myself again 'why did I agree to come'?
Sitting down to dinner was worse, cause these women (they were kinda attractive) sitting across from me at the table avoided making eye contact--throughout the entire dinner! I kept looking at them to see if anyone of them will even look up and in my direction. None of them did. This was four years ago, and since that time I've look back and learned that when people don't talk to you or look in your direction, it's a indication that maybe they're lacking in confidence when it comes to approaching strangers. They just don't have it in their nature to be curious and outgoing. These are the people who want others to approach them instead. But then that puts them in the position to reject you (That's another topic).
