reverse racism?
why is it that everytime a white guy goes to an import shop and the person behind the counter is asian, the white guy will get charged double the price of what an asian guy would pay?
ok here's the story
my friend has a 94 integra gsr and he wanted to do a JDM conversion.
the shop is new, i have never been there, and he has never been there, they just moved from somewhere so no one knows him, and he's not friends or relatives with the owner or the guy behind the counter
i went in there first and told the guy that 'i' have a 94 integra gsr and i'm thinking of doing the JDM conversion. the guy told me something like $2,500 (i think that's what he told me. it was a month ago) just for the parts, whithout delivery. so whiteboy price - $2,500
next day, my friend (he's asian) went in there and told him the exact same thing i told the guy yeasterday. i'm thinking of doin the conversion...and so on. the guy told him that he's looking at about $1,500, whithout delivery. price for an asian - $1,500 (that's $1,000
again, the store is new, we don't know anyone there, they don't know me or my friend
so what the hell
i know the price difference was $1,000 because that is not something i would forget. and i'm also not saying that just because your asian you get a discount.
i'm saying that if your white, you will probably pay more then if you were asian
this person definitely feels that asians are being racist to him at shops!
