Blue eyes and low salary make perfect woman
By Sophie Borland
Last Updated: 7:34am GMT 12/03/2008
These are key attributes that define the perfect woman, if the latest survey if to be believed.ccording to recent poll of 66,000 men, their idea of the ideal female would also weigh a slim nine-and-a-half stones, live on her own and occasionally wear glasses.
The research, carried out by the online dating site ukdating.com, also found that 54 per cent of males would not date anyone who earns more than £25,000 a year.
Most men ranked "blue eyes" as the most important attribute followed by "long blonde hair", with "occasionally wears glasses" as third.
Intelligence was not a priority, but she must be "very good looking", have a "wacky personality" and "be optimistic".
The poll found that only 15 per cent of men would date a woman who had a pessimistic or cynical outlook on life.
Surprisingly they did not seem to mind how much time she spent on housework or in the kitchen, but "being good in bed" was certainly high on their priorities and ranked seventh on the list.
Men also do not appear to like women who are too tall, with just 20 per cent saying they would date a girl taller than 6ft.

Ideally she would own her own car, the favoured makes being a Ford Ka or a Mazda MX5 and enjoy regular trips to nightclubs, pubs and restaurants.
It is also important that she loves pets, is a non-smoker, and only drinks alcohol occasionally.
Her ideal profession would be in nursing or PR, the survey found, preferably earning between £10,000 and £25,000 a year.
David Brown, managing director of www.ukdating.com, which studied members' data to come up with the results, said: "While the old adage 'Gentlemen prefer Blondes' still holds true today, it's interesting to note that in this world of size zeros and calorie counting, men are more interested in height than weight, and prefer a medium build girl to a skinny girl.
"This research just goes to show that men are as selective with their choice of date as women are, and know exactly what they want."
The results contrast sharply to when the same survey was carried out by the website on women earlier this year.
It found that Mr Right must be a high earner on £60,000 a year who drives a Mercedes and lives in a £300,000 property in the home counties.

Surprisingly, it says nothing about the culinary skills of the lady.

Surprisingly, it says nothing about culinary skills for the lady. The survey took place in the UK, ... the only place in the world with a worse food reputation than the USA.
Never understood that mentality that some guys have about not wanting the girl to earn more than them. I guess those guys equate earning potential with masculinity or something. That's just silly. One's income isn't what makes a man. It's one's penis. And if a girl wants your penis, despite her greater income, that should be a good thing.

In regards to the article, I don't care if a woman earns more than me. More money or I can finally be a house husband. I don't care if a woman is taller than me, it means taller kids and enhances the gene pool. She enjoys regular trips to night clubs, pubs and restaurants? Sure if she's paying, I would enjoy that too. I don't even know why they had a preference on what make and model of car a perfect woman would drive. I'd take time spent on cooking and cleaning over her being good in bed.

I can see why nursing may be an ideal profession of the perfect woman for the guys. Yup.

w/ regards to the woman making more than men, most of my male friends have expressed the same opinion of "i don't care if she makes more than me." BUT. when a couple of them have actually faced that situation w/ their wives or long time girlfriends, they didn't particularly relish the feeling. all of a sudden they were talking about changing jobs to do something that would make more money than what they currently took in and things like that.
theoretically i don't have any issues w/ dating a girl making more than me. but i dunno if that would hold true once i'm in that situation. i think there's something about gender roles that's actually pretty difficult to ignore.
i will admit to not feeling especially manly when dating taller women. i still dated them, but it sometimes bugged me to see the pics. weak, yes i know, but apparently i'm not alone.

I don't care that she makes more as long as she doesn't care that I make less. I find ambition, independence, and financial success resulting from said independence and ambition to be very attractive in a woman. And I can't remember the last time I noticed the color of people's hair or eyes. If they're Asian I'm just going to bet on black or very dark brown hair and brown eyes and if they're white I usually don't really care to pay attention until I've known them for many years. Maybe my focus is all wrong, my eyes tend to zero straight in on overall facial and body structure xD

LOL on the intelligence thing. I guess most guys get unnerved by a woman that is smarter than himself. Personally for me I have no preference.
Of course a woman who is positive and optimistic is a HUGE plus. But I can deal with a girl that may be a bit pessimistic at times. Life nowadays is really tough, so hey, if she's down and blue, hey, the little honey can cry on my shoulder anytime. It's all good, poor little thing.
But a woman that has a cynical outlook in life? Hell no. I can't stand women who are mean spirited, constantly embittered, constantly knocking on you for every wrong you make. I'll end that date with that kind of girl at the fucking speed of light. I would'nt care if she was a dead ringer for Jessica Alba or something with a bitchy attitude like that. Fuck that. Game over.
Who needs a woman who constantly bitches and complains over everything and anything? I'm even suprized that even 15% of men and not less, would date that kind of woman at all. It really should be 0% of men in the survey. Maybe that's a typo in the article or something in the survey process gone wrong. The percentage is too high. No way.
If there are men like that at 15% according to the survey then they must be looking for a woman in utter desperation. Really, that's sad.
A girl with a "wacky personality"? Yeah, that would be nice. A girl with a good heart and good sense of humor. I would love to see that in my perfect girl. I always enjoy a good laugh.
It's too bad there are not too many women out there who match these desired qualities. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Maybe my focus is all wrong, my eyes tend to zero straight in on overall facial and body structure xD
No, that's perfectly normal for a man. If that WAS'NT the case we will all be worried. LOL.

By the way, what do you consider a nice girl? Don't you really mean a Slutty Crocker? Nice publicly, loyal, loving, educated, cook your favorites, etc., but will still suck the chrome off your bumpers in the bedroom.

TWO 20's ? Woah.
I guess once I'm settled down in my career later when I'm in my 40's or something, going through my midlife crisis, I'll reregister at a community college somewhere for some bullshit courses just so I can get a nice little honey, young and fresh..
The young girls will go nuts for a male nurse practicioner making a 6 digit salary. I'll lie and claim that I am taking more classes to upgrade my lisence as a nurse or some bullshit.
That's my grandiose backup plan in case my marriage or long term relationship fails. . . .
girls go wild for murses? that's news to me.
why don't you just say you're a doctor, since you'll be lying anyway?

No! No! No! I'm really going to school right now to become a nurse. So it will be only a little white lie when I'm back in school years later looking to 'upgrade my lisence'.
Maybe I can tell them I'm a Navy Seal then, working as a dolphin trainer when I'm off duty. Will that work?

Only if you're working for Sea World or something.
Nurses are hot. My mom (uh-oh) has been a nurse longer than my sibs and I have been around. (Oldest sis is 38) and she's getting co-workers my age now. It's a whole new thing when mom'll be like, "I know someone who's PERFECT for you. But she's already seen your nekkid baby pics."
And sadly, they are hot nurses. -sighs-
I'll wait til mom's retirement party to say more than "Hi, have you seen my mom?" to them. LOL. >_<
i have never seen a hot male nurse. in real life. it's good though cuz i'm usually in for embarrassing lady problems.

I was thinking one of the zoo aquariums or some shit. That's a good idea though. . . . . .
I have a uncle who is a psychriatric nurse and he's like mancandy to all the co-workers in the hospital. True playa. The drama goes deeper than the plots in the Grey's Anatomy episodes.

There's an Asian dude in my Anatomy/Physiology class right now. Guy's built like a michaelangelo. He's like the head of the class. You should see all the other hot female nursing students buzzing all around him like flies around a pile of shit. (terrible metaphor, yeah I know.)
There's hope, dont worry.
