View Full Version : New Forum Topic
How does a Travel section sound? Always tidbits of travel information in all the forums. Why not sum it up and categorize by region? Just a thought.

I've been kinda eager to add a new forum lately. The moderators had talked about a cooking forum not too long ago, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head. The key, for me, anyway, is that there's at least a small core group of folks who are very interested in the topic.

it is my feeling that the core audience is too young (no money!) to enjoy travel
Yeah, I guess so, but I'd really like to hear more about Hong Kong or Japan or Cali or whereever the members are currently living...
But a cooking forum sounds great, so many threads on Asian obsession with foods anyway.

actually i believe we have a few members that are quite well travelled. so i think a travel forum would work. i also think a cooking forum would work. HH makes me hungry everytime she talks about what she's cooking.
Travel forum might be nice for students going abroad too. And people like MK who can't stop talking about Hong Kong! What happened to the idea of a relgious forum? I'm neither for or against that idea but it seems like some people were interested.

You could try splitting the Current Events forum into Domestic news and Foreign / Asian news. I'm interested in what happens in the Asian political scene but since it seems to be mostly US news, which I can see on TV or whatever, I don't really check the Current Events forum that often. If it were split up I'd know when to check.

Sorry for the belated reply. I'd be interested in making such a split...but so far, members are kinda anti-"sub-forums"...
