China Origin?

Greeting:

Since majority of the Southeast Asians are to be descendents of the Great Empire of China one way or another: Hmong's known as Miao, A-Hmao, Qao Xiong (spelling), etc. throughout China; Thai is Dai, Vietnamese is Annan (?), I think, and Mien is Yao or vice-versa, and Khmere Krom (Cambodian) were also known by a name that escaped the tip of my typing fingers in China...so then what is other Laotian (list all ethnics (68 plus) in Laos if possible) known as in China?

I am just curious and wanted to enlight myself on my families of Southeast Asians, that's all...and await your personal or educational responses...
