We'll be there for 3 weeks (Ho Chi Minh City areas mainly) and if you're going also and interested in joining us for coffee or tours around the country send us an email gvcokc@yahoo.com (we can speak Vietnamese, in case you can't  )

make sure you go to the cu chi tunnels and shoot off a few rounds.
and spend some of that time on the beach..3 weeks is a long time to spend in HCMC so get out to the beach if you can

I want to go, but I have school and work. :( Plus, I have no money.

We understand 'cause we used to be working students like you, anyway, it won't be long until you save enough money for traveling, right?

However, if he stays in Cali, he's hosed if he expects to save money and have anything close to a reasonable standard of living.

i almost considered moving or retiring in vietnam..it's only about 20 bucks a day to live for food and accomodation plus nice warm sunny weather.
If you want to buy things and have more entertainment that's extra.

That's true. It's 3 times cheaper living here but the setback is that there's not many jobs in OKC unless you already have lots of savings and just want to retire.

We thought about that too and probably will make up our minds within the next few years. We're very tired of the long cold weather here in OKC, however, we'd need to go back a few more times (each time stay a little longer) to find out if we could live there.
Well, tomorrow we're on our way to a much warmer weather place for a brief 3 wks
