F.Y.I., New Line Cinema had considered changing the title from The Two Towers to something else precisely because they didn't want anyone to make associations with 9/11. Nowya know...

it's not like the movie title is poking fun at the whole 9/11 thing, so i think it's kind of stupid and pandering of new line or whoever to change it.

Whoa new take on the flick:

This is a joke right?

The new movie, The Two Towers makes up for its lack of on screen sex scenes with some of the most horrifying, blood wrenching violence ever to splatter the silver screen. "That's why, at first glance, the film is very appealing to True Christians®," says Pastor Deacon Fred. "However, we must be careful not to get overly excited about movies that come so close to depicting what our loving Lord Jesus has in store for sinners. Christians know that nothing man could ever conceive on film will ever match the glorious barbecue of burning flesh that God has promised for all those who don't worship Jesus. I doubt Hollywood could ever litter a whole valley with hacked up pieces of human flesh and body parts, or fill a river with the hot, fresh steaming blood of the unsaved. Only the Lord can do that! And the Bible tells us He will! As True Christians®, we are promised front row seats for that glorious show. And the price for admission was covered 2,000 years ago by Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection!   And friends, the reviews for that show, even though it hasn't happened yet, are already in.  And they are raves.  Five stars! You see, the Lord's Word tells us that once the world is covered with rotting corpses, saved Christians will "rejoice over them and make merry, and shall send gifts to one another" (Revelation 11:5-10)."  Praise!  Now, as a True Christian, that is the type of spoiler I don't mind!  I think I speak for all Baptists when I say, 'Bring on the rotting bodies, sweet Jesus!'"

haha, tis funny stuff. the problem is the site *looks* real in that it's a hardcore christian group. check their "about us" page. yet, it seems so out there that it has to be a parody or something.

It's been circulating around at the hospital.

I did fall out of my chair laughing my ass off when I read this part:

Although we don't know too much about the director of The Two Towers movie, we are told that he was plucked from the overweight, unkempt men with glasses who play Dungeons and Dragons and live in their mother's basement crowd. This type of person is part of a dangerous and destructive class of sissified sex-perverts who can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality.

Man, everyone's fair game to these guys if it's real. Hahaha. Those crazy Dungeons and Dragons peoples.

Uhh, yeah, that sounds REAL Christian. Sickos.

I don't think those doods are kidding. Read some of their other articles.

Check out what they say about Christmas:
"I'm sure all you Godly folks sitting in this church today know how I feel about unsaved people celebrating Christmas. But do you know how God feels about it? Well, I'm just about to tell you. It drives Him into a blood vessel popping, demon stomping rage. Ever wonder why so many folks die horrible, painful deaths in November and December each year? Well, now you know. The Lord kills them."

And they fine church members a lot. And post it up all making fun of them and shit. Whoa, I hope this website's a joke, or I'm gonna go firebomb this church.

i was going to say that's a really odd reaction from christians since it's relatively well-known that tolkien was a christian and the trilogy is an allegory for christianity. the article weirded me out, though. <_<

Only movies looking forward to watch: Two Towers, Catch Me if You Can, Gangs of New York (not so much after watching the trailer), MATRIX: Reload.

But 9 USD a ticket, 11 bucks for popcorn & a pop, 4 for a bottle of water. Movies for 2 can get pretty rip-off-ish (that a word?). Not to mention dinner.

Don't say McDonalds... icky... :gross:

I'm not giving away the plot, but the Lord of The Rings: Two Towers, will not end like the book. For those of you who read it, that is what Peter Jackson said.

It was good, just way too damn long. If they edited out 30 min. of it, it woulda been better. Too much of Frodo, Sam & Golem walking around and getting lost. Yeah, I know they're the stars, but they didn't do anything for me in this film, and it was sort of hard to keep up with who's who cuz everyone had that "long hair, scruffy beard, and armor" look. Still, the movie was good, and it beat the hell out of any of those films they're calling "Star Wars" nowaday.

oooh i was wondering about the ending......although they hinted what will happen during the movie and when watched it till the end you sort of know whats going to happen next

i was wondering
who was that leader of the elf guys at Helm's deep?
and what happened to him........didn't happen in the book right?

oh great movie, better than the first one.....

The 'fat elf' from Lorien that also went to Helm's Deep is Haldir. Though it's been quite a while since I read the book, I don't remember his presence or the Lorien elves at Helm's Deep. I'm sure there's a Tolkien expert out on the internet that has analyzed the diffs between movie and book.
