This is an idea I got for a short film about the tank running over the girls incident.
First scene: The Winter Olympics... Ohno wins the gold and the Koreans get shafted.
Scene Two: The infamous axis of evil speech
Scene 3: Bush visits seoul and the American chamber of commerece gets terrorized.
Scene 4: The Fucking USA song written by coke drinking nike wearing college kids.
Here's where it gets interesting:
Scene 5: The day of the incident. Starting at mission briefing. Walker and Nino walk in late and hung over. Their senior officers look the other way because they have to do the mission TODAY. Walker and Nino drive towards the mission checkpoint but decide to stop to have a drink in a Korean bar. They go in and yell at the shop owner and make a lot of noise and mess. All the while sexually harassing an innocent Korean woman who was in the bar. Finally they realize that they are late and so they leave without paying, punch the owner of the bar, get in the tank and roll off. Walker says to nino something about the com system being broken, but nino says fuck it who cares. Then they see the two girls in their path and Nino bets Walker $20 that he can't hit them both on the first try. We then see the maniacal laughter as he steps on the accelerator and veers off the wide road aiming for the children who are holding hands and skipping along like childhood is such a wonderful thing. They notice the tank and try to run away but Walker steps on the accelorater een more and squash. He gets the $20.
Scene 6: The day of the incedent. Walker and Nino arrive early to check the tank out to make sure all the lights and signals are working and to re-check were all the blind spots are. They make a thurough test of the communication system which appears to be working fine. They clean and shine the tank with their toothbrushes and then get down on their hands and knees in prayer for safety of the Korean people whom they are honored to be allowed to protect. They then go out for breakfast and are propositioned by two ugly Korean whores. They just give the whores money and donft sleep with them. At the restaurant, they order the usual and the all Korean staff serves the men with large smiles, because they love the two. They leave a fat tip. They go to the mission briefing and ask many many questions, and@even get the officer in charge to change his mind about something. The two go back out to the tank to check and recheck some more. The mission starts and they get into the tank. Unfortunately Walker slips and damages the wiring for the comm system. They immediately alert the commanding officer but he says there is no time and that they must continue. So while walker is atiously driving, nino is trying everything he can to get the comm system to work again. Now the girls are walking by the side of the road which is too narrow even for a bicycle. They both see the tank. one of them drops a 100 won coin into the street and they both rush out to get it back and squash. Walker and nino are seen crying and praying to god for forgiveness.
