Im a korean guy who lives in France, would like to keep everyone posted on what azn soccer players do in Europe coz, and I understand, no one seems to care from what ive read. Well you shoud care!!!

Yep every euro calls it football, and yes I can speak french. Seriously people, I don't understand why no one watches footies. I stay up till 3 AM french time to cheer Yao Ming. Every1 shud make an effort. haha (kidding..or not)

Hey welcome. I visited Paris, France this past May. It was my first and only time ever overseas. I had a nice time there and would like to visit the city again.

I do enjoy watching soccer, but usually only when national teams compete. I rooted for France during the 2006 World Cup final. It was also exciting to watch the 2007 U-20 World Cup on TV since my home country Canada, hosted the games. I did see some of the matches from the 2007 Women's World Cup and was impressed by Marta's skills.

I would watch more soccer, if they would broadcast it more. To be fair I think Sportsnet in Canada shows a Doubleheader from the English Premiership every Saturday I beleive, and CBC showed almost every match from last year's World Cup. Too bad about Zidane last year, but I was sitting next to a raccous crowd of Italians (My cousins' High school friends who just happen to be of Italian heritage) and it was kinda neat to see the house basically explode from Grandma downwards to little Nicola. (Who was 3 last year and was really going for the Azzuri along with grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, and big brother and all the family friends they could squeeze into the building haha). So, I was kinda, you know, compelled to cheer for Italy. (The damn good Italian food on offer helped) The one thing I don't like is that PKs make or break an otherwise fabulous game. Personally I hate penalty shootouts in Soccer tournaments, I mean one team can totally outplay the other, yet be held to a 0-0 draw and then lose on PKs. Gay.

One thing I noticed is that teams like Germany, when the game is tied late, will seem to play what I call "gay defence" and try to hold on for PKs, which traditionally they are very good at. Unlike the Azzuri of 2002 who played too defensively vs Korea and lost (Totti, miscalls vs Italy notwithstanding) last year's edition mustered up enough offence in the late going against the host Germans to AVOID the PKs. I was soooo glad when that happened b/c then I could say a team scored a REAL goal. (nice goal too, the one by Grosso off a Pirlo assist)

Also, I got more into soccer when I started playing the (absolutely fantastic) Winning Eleven series of Soccer games, and I read some footie magazines from England which I picked up from Chapters and they were very informative and witty. (Dry British humour featured a lot, haha) But I think soccer is definitely more of an Euro/Latin American thing, its in their blood, not really in ours. but we're (both Asian and North American) slowly improving.

To be honest i couldn't give a fuck if blacks were treated like shit. But for ur knowledge, they're well treated. Azns are seen as ok so long they don't compete with the white man and perturb his supremacy. its a bit like in the US to be honest. We seen as law abiding but that's all whites hand to us, u couldn't see an azn face in the french political scene for instance. Although it's a white man's club, they made some concession to please arabs and blacks by putting some minority women in the gov because THEY HAD TO, but if they didn't have to i feel like they wouldn't have done it.

We got the some problem as in your country, to whit black and arab voters/consumers/citizens represent a much bigger part of the population than azns, so if a community ruck was to happen against any other minorities, we'd be screwed since no one would listen to us. However during the riots of 2005, blacks and arabs were dumb enuff to destroy their own skools and gymnasiums, which was a relief. No azn store was attacked from wot i herd.

France is a mini version of Cali. We got all kinda jews talking shit on TV, blacks being adored by liberal medias, and azns being nearly invisible. I don't need to visit the US, im already there. Do come over if u wanna check out this neat euro country tho, the food kicks some serious ass!!!!
