Hi. I'm mostly here for a college paper on modern Asian American political activism and self identity. I was originally fairly excited about this project, as I've always had an INTEREST in asian history and culture, but as my studies have become further focused it has taken a back seat to my LOVE of European and Middle Eastern history.
However, I'm am a little intimidated and disturbed by some of what I've read on this and similar sites, mostly the hostility towards white males who are dating an Asian (read: me). I do have some previous knowledge of "inter-racial dating disparity" and the percivied white male dominance of society "issues". However, this subject seems to get alot of air time, and is spoken about with alot of malice. is it really as important as some websites make it seem? I feel like Im hated by many of you, when none of you even know me.
