Hi guys, I'm from the United States, my "supposed" ethnicity is full Vietnamese. I found this site through Google and thought it was interesting.

So when I go out and meet new people they always (almost have to) ask what am I? This is how the conversation usually goes.

Person: So what are you?

Me: Option 1: Human(If I'm in a snippy mood)
Option 2: Vietnamese.

Person: Seriously? You look Indian/Jewish/Arabian/Mexican/Latino. What with your curly hair.

Me: Oh, I didn't know I looked like that.

Person: Yeah, totally, your dad Indian or something?

Me: I don't know my dad.

Person: Oh, sorry. Bye.

Over the years, I tired of these redundant conversations and soon just made an easy answer for a quick conversation.

Person: So what are you?

Me: Jewish.

Person: Sweet.
