Who looks good with it? That is, what kind of features are complimented by such a hairstyle? Should it be avoided by people with certain facial features (big ears/nose)?

Seems to me like it'd be important to shave (facial hair) everyday if one were to shave their head bald -- but what if it were a very very close buzz?

Does it ever work with glasses?

tripostrophe,
post a picture and i'll tell if it'll look good or not.
hehe.

i think the complete shaved head is extreme.
but a close buzz might be okay.
it's only hair, it'll grow back.
have fun.

I shave mine. I started in high school because my mom attempted to cut my hair and basically screwed it up, prompting me to shave it all off. Facial hair works with, usually the goatee or little chin stubble is what I do.

goatee, huh? I don't know if i could pull that off. still too young probably, and my facial hair doesn't grow in thick enough..plus i prefer the lex luthor (from smallville) look. But i guess a large part of that is the wardrobe, which I don't really have haha.

shorter hair requires more charisma/confidence -- am I right?

if you are young and Hispanic in SoCal, you are more likely to get shot and killed.

but that's more fact than opinion.

^Haha, I'm nowhere near California, and I don't really dress thuggish.

And did you word your last statement correctly? Because I can't tell if that's a sarcastic remark. lol

I have a shaved head... been taking a blade to it every three days now for the last 7 years.

I think the key is a nicely shaped head... and normal sized ears. Also key - if you shave your head, keep your head free of pimples.

Shaved heads are for taller, burly, stocky people with a solid body frame. It reflects a better overall balance in head, shoulder, and torso. It projects strength, whent eh above characteristics all work together.

A shaved head on a scrawny, thin, and short body frame makes the person look like an impoverished monk. Put on a yellow robe, and Kung-Fu monk may be the most masculine association one can get.

Shaved heads are also only for people with healthy scalps, and a symmetrical skull. Skulls with uneven bone structure near the top, and dry flaky patchy skin and imples make the person look as if he is under chmeotherapy treatment.

Asiatic features are more pronounced with no hair to frame the taller cheek bones, the eye socket shape, and the brow structure. Some may work, some may not.

A shaved head can be compromised with a buzz cut, but with a sculpted top of hair. Keep the sides high and tight, and it will be a low-maintenance hair style.

In all honesty, only black and white men who are athletic in frame can carry off the shaved head look with the proper balance. Asian men who are burly, will look like a UFC contender, with a shaved head.

Glasses also make the shaved head look less masculine. While not a true Charles Xavier power, the bald head alone reflects a sense of personal separation from cmon standards of beauty, the galsses jus tmake the bald person look puny and sickly. The professorial angle can be carried out, if the person is well-dressed, in a regular ensemble of colalred shirt, blazer, and vest. The more stylish and angular the glass frmae, the more eccentric or intellectual a person will look. THe more generic, and larger the eyeglass frame, the more birth-control the look.

I only knew one chinese guy who had a shaved head and he has shoulder length twice as long as mines and was in prison for 7 years. Big wide build.

Most people just buzz cut. Leaving alittle hair on the head. Looks better that way. One of my friends whose 22 is greying already so he does it to downplay his white hair.

Other then that, the only other bald asian dude I ever saw was a metrosexual looking guy.

A close buzz cut is usually better than a shaved head (not many people have nicely shaped, symmetrical heads).

However, avoid either if you don't have angular or strong facial features.

A shaved or buzz cut on a round head will make that person look like a cueball (even worse if the person has large or protruding ears).
