My hair is very hard and it naturally stands up. So I have a hairstyle that goes with the flow and lets it stand. I just put some gel on it, and spike it up. It looks kind of messy, but it looks good.

However, I am not sure that I want to go to interviews with this kind of haircut. I'm thinking of shaving my head of all my hair. (I used to have this style before, and liked it, but the spiky/messy look is supposed to be "cooler" for Asian guys.) Would the spiky/messy hairstyle be bad to use at an interview?

Yeah, I saw that link on a another message around here recently. Those styles look cool, and the ladies like it. But I'm not trying to impress the ladies here. I'm trying to get hired. What's fashionably cool outside of work, and what's acceptable inside of work are two different things, usually.

Hm so the styles DDK and John Cho are rockin' wouldn't be acceptable either?

Girls have been telling me to spike my hair for the longest time. Screw'em I say...I dunno why but in the end my opinion matters way more than the opinions of women. I like my layered bowl just fine.

I'm pretty sure unless your hairstyle is completely outrageous or funky lookin' that you don't have to worry about being super conservative or anything (at least hairwise) when it comes to job interviews. I don't see any of those styles on that one site as being too wild or bold to be a problem at all.

Just depends on the person...I think spiky hair or buzz cuts look awesome on some people (especially a lot of Asian guys I think), just not for me b/c my face is narrow and v-shaped and short hair accentuates that too much. Once in a while I'm tempted to just shave it all off though, lol.

Dude you too? haha, I've been half tempted to do that as well...but just letting it grow wild for now.
