What

.methods
.techniques
.resources (books, movies, music, etc.)
.etc.

have you used or found helpful in trying to

.educate APIAs about their status as people of color/minorities in America
.get APIAs invested and involved in their identity as both APIAs and people of color/minorities

for

.college students
.high school/middle school students
.adults
.family
.close friends
.people who are not fully comfortable with their self

in

.areas with a high APIA population and/or where people are tolerant if not accepting
.ares with a low APIA population and/or where people are ignorant and closed-minded

Any methods that don't work?

I've found just talking with people from time to time helpful, but this is usually with close friends or people already invested in their ID as APIA. Find it very difficult to do with parents, rather difficult with siblings. Difficult with friends who aren't really invested.

Has anyone ever tried giving a friend a book with APIA themes and gotten them interested in this way? I've been thinking about doing that.
